We will probably get a long SO6P flashback at some point

We have already gotten long flashbacks about Obito and Madara and Hashirama but we still know virtually nothing about the SO6P who supposedly started the whole conflict we are seeing today. At some point maybe through some vision the tailed beasts have given Naruto we have to know more about the SO6P. The key questions to answer are who exactly was the SO6P. This includes his family origins and what powers did he have before he sealed the Jubi inside of him. Also what exactly is the Jubi and why did it start causing havac throughout the world. It has been inferred that it was a godlike entity and is not only a destroyer but also a creator. Was it always going around destroying the world or did it once live in harmony with the world but something threw it out of balance and caused it to go berserk where the SO6P had to seal it. If the later is the case then maybe the Jubi can eventually go back to living in harmony with the world. How exactly did the SO6P seal it and stop it because if it could be done before it can be done again. The most important thing though because it applies to the current story line is why did the SO6P split the Jubi up in such away that although it would be hard to do someday it could be reformed back into the Jubi again. He seemed to know through some vision that this would happen and seems to hint the good things could come of this but at the same time says that the Jubi revival will lead to the end of the world. This is a contradiction but somehow I believe the SO6P believed things would work out for the best and what the SO6P wanted to ultimately happen will determine how the series ends and peace is achieved.

We haven't seen him, there probably isn;t going to be a flashback until the Juubi can talk.

We will see his flashback, and Rikudou himself will tell it once he meets Naruto inside his pysche once the chakra essence he stored in Kurama and the Bijuus manifest fully like Minato and Kushina did before.

Like the Uzumaki's backstory, the Rikudou Sennin's backstory is shrouded in mystery because it will be revealed that Rikudou himself was an Uzumaki.

He separated them because the Juubi was insane and all-powerful.

He separated the Juubi, because Rikudou hoped that one day, the Juubi (as the sum of the nine Bijuus) would learn to place its' faith in humanity. Something Rikudou himself could not persuade the Juubi to do.

I actually agree with this it makes too much sense. It would explain how the Senju are distant relatives to the Uzamaki but would also make them distant relatives to the Uchiha. It makes sense the Uzamaki had large chakra supplies and high level sealing techniques which is exactly what the SO6P would have needed to seal the Jubi inside of him. I don't believe he had the rinnegan before he sealed to Jubi. This probably only happened after he sealed the Jubi inside of himself and acquired some of its power. I say he fought the Jubi with a very high level sage mode far beyond that of Naruto's and even still needed some overly hax sealing technique to stop it.

You are absolutely correct, The Uzumaki Clan was Rikudou's Original Clan, The Senju and Uchiha Ancestors came later, as a mixture of Rikudou-Juubi essence. The Sharingan is the eye of the Juubi, the Mokuton is the body of the Juubi.

My guess is, he will appear when the juubi is sealed or some narutohalfdeadscene where he then meets the sage.

I have this big feeling that the sage will be or look like an older naruto.
I can just see their characters having massive similarites.

Oh I'm pretty sure they will have a great resemblance with each other, the only difference is Rikudou's hair was crimson red.
