I doubt that this is the case, but let me ask this question to anyone who is knowledgeable about Japanese culture:
Do the Japanese have some custom of solely associating a son with his father and a daughter with her mother?
I ask this because that seems to be the case with Naruto's family! It kind of annoys me that we haven't seen Bolt interact with Himawari or Hinata at all in the slightest! I mean what the heck is that about? I know Hinata and Himawari aren't the main characters, but am I the only one who would like to see some of the dynamics between Bolt and the rest of his family bedsides Naruto? Is Kishi ashamed that Hinata is Bolt's mom or something? It is bad enough that Kishi forgot byakugan and made Bolt almost completely Naruto in terms of personality, appearance and perhaps ability (we saw that Bolt has shadow clone jutsu). Can we please see some Hinata in Bolt or some interaction??? I take mostly after my mom, but I still at least interact with my dad. I don't cut my family in half like Kishi has done thus far with Naruto's.
You know that the separation has gone too far when Hinata and Himawari haven't even been announced for the Boruto movie! Sasuke's family and the new ino-shika-cho are confirmed to be there, but the new main character's mother and sister aren't even announced! That is ridiculous!
Maybe we'll see some interaction in the next chapter or so. Please Kishi, remember that Bolt has 2 parents and a sister, not just Naruto!
