Props to that man, many kids like this grow up in single mother households with no father figure to guide them through life. For that reason they model after their friends and what their group think is cool. This man is being that father figure the kid never had and setting him straight in life. You can tell he wants to help him, nothing but respect.

1)This doesn't work for every child and you have to take into account their lifestyle. He's repeatedly stole items from other people before and would continue unless someone woke him up.
2)If he would to continue in his actions this could result in a fatal injury (getting jumped if caught), death (messing with the wrong guy that doesn't play around), or jail.
3)This I can agree with.

1- It's because he hadn't felt guilt yet, embarrassment can be one hella of punisher sometimes. And beating up kids is kinda getting too dumb honestly(not like it wasn't to begin with):lol, The more people use the more we realize that it's actually useless in long term discipline

2-So you suggest that developing a new violent nature towards other is better than doing the same harmful action constantly (let me remind you that law enforcement may solve the problem by sending his lil ass juvenile detention )????

1) "embarrassment can be one hella of punisher sometimes" Not every kid works the same, with that statement then this should have been great. Embarrassment and a good ol fashion ass whoopin in one video! There is a difference between abuse and a good spanking. I got my ass beat when I was a kid and I grew up just fine. No it's not useless it works whether you like it or not, does it apply for everyone? No. Just like everything else in this world.

2)Read carefully what I posted again. Juvenile detention is a joke, have you ever been around these type of kids? Do you honestly understand their lifestyle, their thought process, the environment? Obviously you don't.

I partly agree.

Why I agree: A story my grandpa told me. My grandpa and his friends when he was a teen tried stealing from this dudes auto shop, they got caught by the guy and instead of calling the police he whooped their ass. But he literally punched the kids. And my grandpa never forgot it, not only that but he never stole anything again.

Before communities would help raise kids. Since some parents just lack the skills or just don't know the extent of the trouble their child is causing, do to working and not being around them enough. Some kids also don't understand reason because they're self absorbed and need something like a spanking to wake them up.

Why I disagree: I think the whooping was enough, I don't think uploading it to world star hip hop was a good idea. People will always shame this kid for this, especially the people that know him. And a giant amount of this generation view the site, he'll always be that guy for as long as people have footage of it. Which is why I disagree with this.

I used to be against physical punishment. I never was on the receiving end of it, I've never used it, and wouldn't use it.

However, kids need to learn consequences, and if other people's values say whooping is ok, it is their business.

What I'm dead set against is making excuses for kids' bad behavior and/or letting kids off the hook. As OP said, teaching kids a lesson could improve or even save their lives.

One or two whips would be more than enough, hitting the guy up to 10 times until he is crying isnt going to help anything rather its just an stupid action from the man and on top of it he looks like he just did an badass act by recording it and uploading it on the internet, simply an ape acting like one.

What's wrong with a whipping? It kept me from doing stupid shit. I know what my parents were trying to teach me. Now the only law I break is getting a traffic violation. My sisters never got a whooping but they did get spankings.

The fact that he let someone film it and put it on the internet shows his intents weren't only to straighten up the kid, Will his(kid's) friends not see it and scar him for life? Or maybe the abuser was so self-absorbed that he never thought of it.

don't misunderstand, that kid was just an excuse to be a hero and dish out beating that he personally enjoyed, making others feel inferior is weak's easy way of making themselves feel better, mature and grown up. If your kid does something bad and you beat him would you film it and put it on web for everyone to see? Giving speech about you "want" to help him but he won't let you so you "have to" beat him? Think.

This guy may have helped the society a bit by throwing a naughty kid in stressful state for limited time but he only created a hateful person in long run, only brought more hate. I don't much blame him much though given bright people are he couldn't have done much better then damage, but I'd love to see him get whooped on the internet begging for release where millions of people can see it. now that would be fun.

If you need to use violence to make your child learn then you've already failed as a parent, and don't tell me "everyone is different" We are all born with two ears and one mouth.

It's called Positive and Negative reinforcement, something that a majority of the black community does not comprehend.

Using corporal punishment only leads the child to figuring out more sneaky ways to go about doing whatever they aren't allowed to do, it doesn't drill an understanding into the child... Fuq'n Noob.

Shout out to the people claiming the old "Spare the rod spare the Child" statement, maybe we should petition the police force to whip individuals when they break a law.
