The Akatsuki was a band of criminals hired by villages to do their dirty work and ultimately capture the tailed beasts.
We have a pretty detailed background on Itachi, Sasori, Tobi, vague but enough information on Kisame, and how they came to be. There are still some questions on my mind like:

How did Deidara get the three mouths on his body?

What technique does Kakazu use to manipulate the hearts like that?

What kind of jutsu does Hidan use?

And even for the characters we do know some about...

How did Shark Skin get a personality and mouth?

How did Sasori remove his heart to make himself a puppet?


Just some questions that I could use some enlightening on.

What kind of jutsu does Hidan use?- Prayer no jitsu/ tiejitsu

How did Shark Skin get a personality and mouth?- good question, better question is why make such an object?

How did Sasori remove his heart to make himself a puppet?- He started by making various parts of his body a puppet and took it to the next level.

My question is when did the organization go from reg. ninja fighting for a better tomorrow to dic*s that just kill for money?
