Black Lightning is a unique form of Lightning Release. As the name suggests, the lightning produced by this ability's techniques is black in colour. The ability to utilise black electricity was possessed by the Third Raikage, who passed it onto Darui.

Both users have the stylised kanji for "lightning" (雷, kaminari) tattooed on their shoulders; Darui on his left and the Raikage on his right. This seems to be a distinctive trait, as Ginkaku and Kinkaku recognised Darui's possession of this ability through his tattoo.
It is similar to Amaterasu in that it is the only other black-coloured nature

I've pondered about the same things. Are there other black elements like Black Wind, Water or Earth?
Does black lightning have the same properties as regular lightning? Or is there something special besides its unusual color?

I cant believe Kishi didnt show us some more. Anyway, Kishi's probably reserving black lightning for Darui.

Yeah I kind of wish we got to see Black lightning, but guessing by the fight it wasn't his strongest attack. Kabuto took full control of his body and went straight to the Raikage's strongest technique.
