[Suggestion] way to cut down on fake spoiler threads

which says that only confirmed spoilers are allowed to be posted there. only the problem is people seem to be extremely trigger happy with posting fake spoilers as new threads which kind of junks up the forum. i really think it'll cut down the amount of these relatively useless threads to let these guys post their fake spoilers to the spoiler thread, and we can all have a laugh or discuss them in the

rather than do the same thing across 10 different other threads.

mods would be able to clear all the posts in the spoiler thread and leave only the confirmed spoilers once they appear. would get much more use out of two sticky threads. i mean usually we don't even get legit spoilers until like 5 minutes before the chapter comes out, you know?

They keep on posting fake one cuz it gets higher no. of post counts you know, don't know why they exactly do that

Even if you have got a point there, I doubt if that will change the situation. There are sticky threads for many purposes but people don't seem to follow those threads. Common example is sticky thread for 'favorite Naruto quotes', or for 'manga mistakes'.:yeah:

Most people here now just try to boost their posts up that why there are so many junk

I don't think this will change much as you assume that everyone actually follows what is written in the Spoilers thread and that the reason is that people make so many fake spoilers threads is because they are not allowed to be posted in the official thread and because of that they make their own threads...I really wish people would actually follow the guidelines like that.

The reality of the situation is that if this really was true, then there shouldn't be so many spoilers threads with the real spoilers and your suggestion does not solve that issue. Why would people then suddenly start posting their fake/unconfirmed spoilers in the official spoilers thread then if they don't even do it with the real ones?

Also I have yet to see an unconfirmed spoiler to be true, in most cases or people intentionally wrote some stuff acting like it are real spoilers or it was originally a prediction that somehow got be considered spoiler. People should use the Predictions prefix instead of using the Spoilers prefix and post such threads in the Predictions subforum. I'm not very keen on the idea of having unconfirmed and confirmed spoilers together as then pretty much the entire point of such a thread would be gone considering what would then in the end be real and what not? Then forbidding people altogether to even post unconfirmed spoilers might be more efficient.

yeah i guess it wouldn't really solve much on it's own.

but I agree @essen1 that they are fun just not worth a new thread for every single one, and then mods have to hunt them down amongst a sea of other threads.

to really put an end to it would take time and trend, if people see all spoiler threads getting merged into the main one maybe they'll learn. and like a 24hr section ban for not posting in the spoiler thread already created.

but that sounds like it'd be a lot of added work so i guess bad idea.
