Since this is your first lesson in water before I teach you techs you'll need to tell me some things.

The first thing that you will need to do is explain the water element to me. I would like you to tell me the basic strengths and weaknesses of the element, how these strengths and weaknesses can be used to your advantage or your disadvantage, what the water element personifies to you, and why you find the water element interesting or if you don't find it interesting, why you have that opinion. And basically anything else you want to say about water relevant to the training and RP.

We'll discuss it then move on to the techniques afterward.

Water is one of the basic 5 elements. Suiton can be used to manipulate water around the user, or to create water from the users chakra. The latter of the toe is more difficult. Water is used to inflict blunt force trauma, and can cause massive internal damage. It doesn't inflict external damage as much as it does internal.

It is strong against fire, because water naturally smothers and puts fire out. It is weak against earth, because earth can be used to dissipate the water, causing it to dissipate, which ultimately makes the water ineffective. It can be used in conjunction with Raiton because water is a natural conductor for electricity, which increases the shock damage. It can also be used with wind, which increases the power of the blunt force of water.

Water is a factor in the following KG- ice, wood, storm, and boil release.

The Hozuki clan has a special form of Suiton that they use to liquefy their entire body, or just certain parts, at will.

Suiton, to me, personifies the calm, yet powerful waves of the ocean. It can be subtly deadly, or forcefully deady, depending on how it is utilized. I find it interesting because it can destroy a person from the inside. While it isn't my favorite element, I find it to be the second most versatile, second only to earth.

That image shows the destructiveness, as well as the mysteries of what lurks in the water. Water can be fierce, as well as calm. To be that guy, in simplest terms, would suck.

Now think about the water element from both perspectives. What does it represent? How do you necessarily find balance between the two sides?

It represents calmness... Flow. It also represents ferocity, and power. To find a balance between the two, one must feel both sides. Master both sides. Find a calmness within oneself, and allow yourself to be fierce when needed.

This is how I will train you: I will first post the technique and the describe it in my own words, and then state a few sentences about the usefulness of the technique both offensively and defensively. I would like you to respond by by telling me:

- how you would perform the technique in battle
- how you will use the technique offensively
- how you can defend against the tech
- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

I would like a few sentences for each point or a few bullets. Whatever you prefer. I'll be going at 2 to 3 techniques per post to keep the training moving.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

The most basic of all water techniques. It requires no hand seals and is never used on the site. It is simply used in order to teach students how manipulating water works. Water similar to earth and wind, previously exists, though it can be created. Thus this means there are two ways to manipulate water. One is to transform the chakra inside of you into water and release it, the second is to send your chakra into the water and then manipulate the existing water. Try to do both. First, channel chakra in your body and transform it into water then launch it out of your mouth, second send your chakra into the water around us and create a wave.

Well hello~~
Before we continue I'd like to ask you what you know when it comes to nature and shape manipulation? What are they and what is achieved with their usage?

Nature manipulation is manipulating and changing the characteristics of chakra so that it may become something else; fire, water, etc.

Shape manipulation is changing the shape of said element to use it in the way you want, or the way a jutsu requires; fire ball is formed into a ball of fire.

So both Shape and Nature manipulation are types of molding chakra as to give chakra specific characteristics. Nature manipulation refers to type of molding chakra in which you give chakra a desired set of characteristics or properties. When it comes to fire release, you'd focus onto heatness, when it comes to wind release you'd focus onto sharpness and thinness, when it comes to lighting release you'd focus onto vibration and tingling and when it comes to water release you'd focus onto coolness, adaptability as well as flexibility... Whereas Shape manipulation refers to type of molding chakra in which you give chakra desired form.

So when it comes to my trainings. I don't have any specific template that you can fill but as we go through the techniques, just answer questions I might have for you. Also keep in mind that whilst performing techniques I'd like for you to mention both shape and nature manipulation. If you don't have any questions we can proceed?
