Right! Let us begin!

Anyways, I've already explained the way this training works and what not to you so no need to be repetitive. Remember feel free to ask me questions anytime about anything.

So to begin with we're going to explain the basics. I want you to explain to me what a ninja is, what is chakra, what are the three major fields of ninja techniques, what nature transformation is, and finally what shape manipulation is. We'll dissect and build up on what you say as we go.

Right away!

Ninjas are people that use abilities in order to perform missions, jobs, and other tasks. Ninjas are recognized by their use of chakra, the natural energy found in everyone, to utilize techniques and abilities. Ninjas may be part of a village, or disbanded and recognized as a missing-nin. There are different statuses for ninja ranks, which are generally ranked from Genin to Chuunin to Jounin to Kage. There are other groups of ninjas that make up different ranks, such as Anbu, which are a special task force. The main criteria that differentiates ninja from samurai is that ninja may utilize ninjutsu and genjutsu, whilst samurais only use kenjutsu and taijutsu in their fighting.

Chakra is the fundamental life force necessary to perform even the most basic tasks. As said previously, chakra is split into two groups, physical and spiritual energy. Balancing the two are what allows for proper execution of techniques. If someone has proper chakra control, when they activate a technique, it should not take so much chakra for them to perform a jutsu. However, someone with poor chakra control would use excessive chakra for techniques and run out of chakra faster. Additionally, there is a third part to chakra. For those who are capable of utilizing nature energy or senjutsu chakra, they also utilize nature energy alongside physical and spiritual energy. Doing so requires and incredible amount of chakra control and also a sizable chakra pool.

The 3 major fields of ninja techniques are taijutsu, genjutsu, and ninjutsu. Taijutsu is the simplest form of the there techniques. This revolves around the physical abilities of the user and fighting in close combat. Generally, taijutsu does not use any chakra, though chakra may be added to augment speed and strength. Genjutsu is another field. In this field, genjutsu revolves around casting illusions to others by disrupting their flow of chakra to affect them and place them in a false reality. In order to dispel a genjutsu, one must first disrupt their own chakra, or have another person do so. Another way would be to physically damage yourself in order to escape the genjutsu. Finally, the most common technique is ninjutsu. Ninjutsu revolves around the user utilizing chakra to form techniques. The techniques vary from weak to strong, offensive to defensive to supplementary, and more.

Chakra can be molded into two categories, shape and nature transformation. Shape transformation revolves around changing the structure of the raw chakra in an attack. The strongest example of shape manipulation is the Rasengan. The counterpart to shape manipulation is nature transformation which revolves around changing the chakra into elemental natures. Nature transformation generally takes more control and is more energy consuming. Also, it is incredibly difficult to balance high degrees of shape transformation with nature transformation. So techniques that utilizes both transformations would be Chidori which has less shape transformation than the Rasengan, but added with nature transformation. Every individual has a natural nature element that they are inclined to use. In order to figure out this nature, there are specially made chakra papers that react differently depending on the user. Whatever varying outcome happens to the paper shows what nature a user is inclined to utilize. It is possible for more advanced users to learn more elements than one. There are also special KKG users that can mould two natures to perform an entirely new one. These natures cannot be taught however, and can only occur from genetic traits.

And that should be everything =D

Alright let's begin to delve into what you. First we're going to talk about chakra as understanding what chakra is is the most vital part to being able to understand what a technique is capable of. So you began with saying chakra is split into two groups being physical and spiritual. Now, it is actually the reverse. In our bodies we unconsciously harvest spiritual energy from our soul and physical energy from our cells and rest of the body. It is through a passive process that we combine these two energies to create chakra. However, we cannot actively manipulate these energies without proper advanced training - this is known as Yin/Yang Release. Does that make sense on that clarification? Our energies are in balance but we don't manipulate them directly to fuel our techniques. It is the combination of them that creates chakra that we use to fuel our chakra based ninjutsu.

Alright, overall good work here. Taijutsu indeed can be performed without the need for chakra. However yes you can augment your speed and strength with chakra in taijutsu. A good example of this is the Raikage's lightning armor which significantly augments his speed. Another example is Shikotsumyaku, the Kaguya clan's Kekkei Genkai which manipulates bones. In our RP all but one Kaguya technique is considered taijutsu. The one exception being Sawarabi no Mai. Everything else was pretty spot on.

Now, I don't see nature and shape manipulation being counterparts. In fact I see them as two steps. First after you mold your chakra from spiritual and physical energies it is in a raw, untouched state you then apply nature transformation to that chakra. What this means is your chakra will take on a nature type. Now we can utilize raw chakra for ninjutsu as well. And that in itself has its own properties. But when you apply nature transformation you are essentially applying an element. The most basic example of this is the training paper where one will think of the properties and characteristics of an element. At a basic level we are talking about the basic five elements - water, wind, earth, fire, and lightning. However of course there are more advanced levels of this where you combine two basic elements or more to create an advanced nature type such as wood, dust, and steam. Of course there are more examples to this.

Now shape manipulation is the manipulation of chakra as it is released from your body. Shape manipulation is what changes the shape and characteristics of chakra that you release basically. Rasengan is probably the best example of this where you manipulate raw chakra into a perfect sphere while spinning it simultaneously. But this extends to virtually any application of chakra. Even a simple wave of water or fire has some level of shape manipulation applied to it.

Now explain to me of nature manipulation in the context of Suiton.

Alright, got it. Now to nature manipulation of Suiton.

Well first, one needs to manipulate the nature to water. The user needs to change the properties of chakra to mimic water, so chakra control is necessary and varies depending on the size of the technique on wishes to use. Now considering this is nature manipulation, that means that the techniques originate from the user. These techniques differ from outside sources of water because the water already has chakra infused into it, so the properties of water may be slightly different than actual water. A user may utilize outside sources for water to perform a technique, though this would be considered more relying on shape transformation due to it already being present and the chakra not needing to change the properties.

Alright, this is a good start. First off when we apply nature transformation to any element we think about the qualities of the element. So in the case of water one thing you can use is a flowing river. While it may seem insignificant that is how it works. Now, onto the specifics of shape manipulation in terms of water.

Water Release comes in many forms and shapes. I want you to tell me now everything you know about water release. What shapes in can come in, what forms it can come in, how it can be used, how it is created. I noticed you already pointed out water sources. That's a good start. Now build on everything else I said. It is probably the most versatile element of the basic five so most of your responses are probably going to be correct. Be as detailed as you can be!

That is actually quite interesting

Well to start off with the basics, water release is strong against fire and weak against earth. Water can be augmented with with to increase it's destructive power. Additionally, when used alongside lightning nature, it can create even more damage due to the increase in flow of electricity. Water is also one of the components of Ice Release, Wood Release, Boil Release, and Storm Release. Now water can take on several forms. Two main ones that stand out are mist forms used in the hidden mist technique and bubbles for jutsus that Utakata uses and the hydrification technique by the Hozuki clan that allows them to utilize water nature chakra to change the structure of the body into a solid liquid form. It is easily the most moldable nature and can change into several shapes for different techniques. It can be used as whips to bind/hit opponents, as a chamber to seal opponents inside an orb of water, or as tidal wive for defensive measures.

Ummm, that's about it I can think of

Alright this is a good start.

Water can indeed be augmented further. Lightning is a good start. But let's discuss other elements and their interactions with water. Now forget about the weaknesses and strengths for a moment. Lightning indeed conducts extremely well through water and essentially makes a source of water extremely dangerous to touch. Even the briefest moment of contact with water with lightning flowing freely through it makes it very dangerous. Now, the next element would be wind. Wind would increase the blunt damage that certain water techniques carry by logically increasing their speed. This speed makes the blunt damage far worse in that it can cause a range of injuries such as whiplash and what not. Next let's discuss earth. Water would augment earthen based techniques in that it further carries the earthen structures in the water increasing blunt damage and adding debris into the mix of the water. Fire with water essentially creates steam. Now remember this isn't Steam Release. Steam Release is creating steam from chakra. This is just naturally created steam meaning it carries no chakra in and of itself.

Now, lets add in the elemental weaknesses and strengths into the mix. This essentially creates elemental combinations. Meaning water/lightning, water/fire, water/earth, water/wind. These change how you can counter them. Normally if you're countering earth a logical choice would be lightning to destroy the earth. But what happens if you add a large tidal wave into the mix? You can't easily strike the earth with lightning without conducting the lightning through the water. And you can't really keep completely dry with an incoming tidal wave. It adds a certain pressure to it that pushes the opponent to think more carefully and limits the number of counters they can make. This in a way manipulates them. You can more easily figure out how they will counter something to set up your next move.

Additionally, elemental combinations can affect the range of techniques. Say you have a short-range earth technique. But you want it to reach to long-range. What you can do is launch the earth technique and then spew a wave of water behind it that can reach to long-range. This in effect increases the range on techniques.

Now, moving onto your next points about the forms that water comes in. We're going to discuss the basic forms as right now you don't have access to the Hozuki techniques and Utakata's Bubble ninjutsu. But you made a very good point on mist! Mist is one of the forms water can come in besides regular water. Now, let's discuss another form - oil. Water related ninjutsu can be produced as oil. We see this in the Black Clouds technique in the C-Ranks of water which we will learn later. The oil is quite flammable and adds for a twist on water release and its interactions with other elements (in this case fire release). The next form would be as you said - solid water. We see water become compressed to the point of becoming effectively solid. This doesn't mean it is ice. But it also means that it can punch through objects without giving way and it means piercing through them is incredibly difficult. The next form is sticky glue-like water. This form is more supplementary in its usages. This is pretty self explanatory. The water becomes very adhesive and is seen in a number of water techniques. Now, you're definitely right about the molding of shape. Water can take pretty much any form you can imagine within logical reason.

Questions?

I have a couple questions regarding the combination forms, but this is much more technical on the aspect. I understand the concept, so what I am gonna ask is specifics

If one used a, let's say B-Rank Water Tech and B-Rank Earth Tech, would that actually make that like the strength of an A-Rank tech or would it still be like 2 B-Rank techs? And whatever it may be, what would be the necessary rank tech in order to cancel out the combination.

Other than that, no questions

It would be an A-Rank combination in its strength. Essentially 2 of one rank combine to 1 of the higher rank. For example, 2 A-Ranks combine to make an S-Rank. And well, you'd need an equal ranked technique to neutralize it should it not be within elemental weaknesses and strengths of the combination of elements made.

Alright great. We've gotten the basics done. Now let's begin the actual techniques. So for the techniques we're going to be looking at them and learning about how they work. I don't do templates or anything like that for training. I also don't consider techniques to have cut and dry advantages and disadvantages. Almost every technique has a place in its usage. We're going to find out what that place is. And of course, feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Our first technique is the basic Water Release technique. This can create a lot of projectiles with various shapes to fit your needs. Its very versatile and is pretty much your basic toolset jutsu. Now you don't need a water source for this but you can certainly use it on one. What this means is that if you want to use this without a water source the water is produced within short-range of you and then launched forth. With a water source though you can manipulate water up to mid-range from your position. Alright so tell me what you think about this technique. You can say practically anything about it.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

It's a very useful technique. Quick thing, can you use this water as a lift? Like can you make the water push you from your feet upwards to the sky, etc?

Yup! You can use water produced from your body or manipulate a water source. Although it won't be very fast nor large so be sure to keep that in mind when using it for evasive purposes in your strategy.

Now, perform it and give me detail. I want you to start from the molding of your physical and spiritual energies up to your usage of the technique. Then just tell me what you think beyond it just being a versatile technique. Give me some examples of how you'd use this. Tell me about its speed in regards to how fast you can use it. Etc etc.

Of course

Itachi walks underneath a tree branch and begins moulding chakra. He then looks directly up and performs the technique. Water appears right above him and shoots a stream of water straight up snapping the branch from the tree and sending it upwards to the sky. Then, using the water that was just used as a stream, Itachi forms the water into a shield to protect him from the now falling tree branch.

This is already clearly versatile jutsu. Though it is not necessarily fast, because it is short-mid range, it can be great for distraction. For example, I could create the stream of water to attack the person from behind them and push them forward closer to me so that they would be unprepared and I could strike with a kunai or other technique.

Good work. Don't ever underestimate a technique because it is D-Rank or whatever you would classify as low-ranked. While the direct killing potential is low this technique is very fast in the sense that it doesn't require hand seals and can be released from your body and from water around you. So it is quite versatile in its usages. Anyways, let's move forward. This next technique is quite popular and is the first mist-based water technique you're going to learn. There is quite a bit loaded into this technique. Analyze the technique closely and tell me what you think. Be detailed.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

Right away!

Itachi begins molding his chakra and takes in a deep breath. He then exhales and releases a small amount of mist that spreads around him. A little curious, he tries again. He takes in a deeper breath and tries again, successively releasing a large amount of mist to engulf him inside the fog.

I find this very helpful. Despite not being able to counter Byakugan, it can block the vision of all other users, effectively allowing for someone to make a blind strike at the opponent. One issue though may be that since it requires more and more chakra to make a denser fog, it must take a little bit of time to perform and if the user is close to his opponent, it wouldn't really be smart to use. And if you're far away, then more chakra is need to perform it to reach the entire field. Regardless, it is still incredibly useful

Alright, nice work. Now yes Byakugan users will be able to easily perceive through the mist with their dojutsu. But this effectively blocks Rinnegan and Sharingan users entirely from their chakra-vision and their regular vision. Now for the sake of the RP this technique does not actually change with the amount of chakra placed into. You'll always use the same amount. But you can sort of determine the thickness of the mist through freeform description which is another strength of the technique. Although usually in any case unless you say otherwise this technique will block eyesight for all except for Byakugan users. Now the technique does certainly take a little bit of time to spread out on the battlefield. Should you expel it from your mouth it'll take a little time leaving an opening for a large scale fuuton to be used to blow it away before it has a chance to really spread out. Of course this is compensated by using a water source which would release the mist from its entire body.

Now use this technique with caution. This deprives you of your sight too unless you possess the Byakugan. And deprivation of sight can be quite dangerous. But don't forget of your other senses. Depending on how your opponent acts while this technique is active you may be able to hear them. Smelling them would be quite difficult without being an Inuzuka or if they are currently doused in something that emits a strong odor.

Now I want you to explain to me how you would counter this should it be used on you.
