But liquid water? Wow. Carbon-based lifeform precursors, anyone? It's totally possible, if we consider they have the same physiological composition as we do.

There's another study that proved Mars to be having a magnetized surface. So, at one point in time Mars was polarised. Apparently.

This is based on studies from a few samples. To find actual life like that will be such a massive leap that I wouldn't expect Curiosity to discover that anytime soon. Maybe late 2014 or even 2015.
