Water enhances Sensor abilities?

After watching Ep. 267 I made an interesting observation. The Sensor units in the narutoverse use what looks like a water orb to increase the range of their sensor abilities. I may be wrong but that orb definitely looks like water. If it is what I think it is it could mean something big.

I know the picture may not be the best but I still can't get a good shot but I will keep trying to get you guys a good screenshot. For now this one will do:

I noticed that too, they had a big bubble type thing in the ep where Pein inavded Konoha for sensing enemies but it wasn't made of water

You don't think it could be a ball of the combined chakra of the sensors, could it ? What makes you think it's water apart from the shape and bubbles? Maybe ifs sorta like the Tailed Beasts Bomb but for Sensor ninja..

Pein used some what of the same method with water to detect intruders in the hidden rain

According to the wiki the orb is there so they can get a visual representation on exactly where someone crossed the barrier.

Well if you want to get kinda scientific, water is connected with everything. It was found in a scientific study that water records things, can send messages with water, and reacts to human thoughts. Very interesting when you know more about it but im sure kishi has gotten this from the same source I got my info from
