I don't watch it on a consistent basis, only every now and then when I get bored and feel like watching something... the fights are usually good imo, I was pleased with the Luffy VS Chinjao fight, and the fillers have really good animation. But that's probably cause I'm used to a certain other anime that begins with an N.
Maybe if I saw some of the better animation I would be able to tell the difference, any suggestions?

I agree with him somewhat. I feel like the studio needs to take a break, get a budget in order and make these episodes properly. They aren't doing the manga justice at all, and it would be awesome if they could improve on what they're doing. OP certainly has the money and popularity for it.
I don't agree with a studio picking it all up from scratch though. Maybe after OP has ended, they can do something like Dragon Ball Kai and release it, but this time, remastered and in better quality animation like they do with the specials, but throughout the entire series. I'm sure by the time OP is over, they should have wracked in enough revenue. OP is sloppy and choppy right now, they need to take a break.
My wish is that it gets cancelled and some other good studio picks it up from episode 1, preferably MadHouse/Studio-Bones. So you want the anime to cover only like 12-13 pages of one manga chapter? We need a filler arc to widen the gap between the manga. TBH, we shouldn't even be at the Dressrosa arc. We should be at the PH arc.
Yes, with much better animation. I'm sure your Zoro wank will be satisfied in seeing Zoro's sacrifice with better animation or MF arc with no censorship & ofc better animation quality. Even though the blood/gore isn't huge in OP, it shouldn't be censored. Yes, I would love to see a good studio start from episode 1 and give it much better animation & pacing. From what I've heard, OP had a 1 chapter pacing since Enies Lobby so yeah... If someone like Madhouse animates OP, we would get animation on the level of film z for arcs like Dressrosa.

Wtf is that LOL. The animation is just really inconsistent at times.
Starting all the way over from Episode 1 is way beyond ridiculous.
And no, we don't need to be in PH. The anime has been doing one chapter per episode for a while now, so unless OP takes a break for over 50 weeks, it's not gonna catch up. The anime is fine in terms of placement.
How? Do you know how intimidating it sounds for people wanting to start OP to know that there's 600++ episodes? I think it would of been better if we're still in PH cause if Oda takes a break it won't impact the anime that much. With Oda's 2 week break it's already gunna slow down the pacing even more. Also, if another studio starts from episode 1 it'll attract more fans as well.
I was thinking of them adding an ending but idk if that'll even help. Sorry but 1 chapter per episode is extremely unhealthy, look how long the recap is. That filler arc we've had for like a month didn't really help out the pacing. If we do get a filler arc, it should be like close to a year seeing how the arcs in OP are extremely long. That way the anime can go at a pace of 1 1/2 chapters without worrying so much of getting caught up.

I mean if another studio starts from episode 1 they can get caught up where the anime is at in around 350 episodes. Doesn't that sound a lot better then having all these 2 hours specials (that obv. rush scenes) or having 650+ episodes? People will be more willing to start OP if that happens. It's not as bad as it sounds, OP will be around for another 10 years.
I'm not saying this must happen or anything, it's just my wish & I want it to happen for personal reasosn. I.E. so my rl friends can watch it (trust me I've tried telling them to read the manga but they're not fans of reading manga, they rather watch). What I pretty much want is a long filler arc after Dressrosa.

No it doesn't. If another studio picks it up, I wanna see the awesome parts we are at now be animated, not wait through the ENTIRE series again for another 10+ years. Start over, now, you're gonna still gonna be watching a shit ton of episodes. If you're too lazy to sit there, and see then the problem is you. People who complain about it having 600+ episodes are just focused on catching up, and that's the wrong attitude anyways.
Personally, i would prefer if they ended the anime right now and let Oda finish 2 more arcs and then let another studio pick up OP and start from the Timeskip. It could be called "One Piece: New world" or something along those lines.

Don't be stupid, you don't know what you're talking about.
1) Pacing has been like this since CP9 saga, it's 1 chapter: 1 episode ratio. So it doesn't go faster and it won't go slower. your fear of 5 panels in one episode is ungrounded.
2) Animation and art have picked up after the timeskip, better animators are on the job and they delivered more quality.
3) The subtitles with effects were done by a fansubbing company, Toei never did them.
4) Animating a series without seasons and a weekly episode is a completely different business than animating a 'new and unhyped' show which needs good animation for it to be watched. One Piece will be watched anyway, like it has been for the past 15 and it will be for the next possible 15.
5) Toei will never stop animating One Piece, that is their biggest cash cow, see reason 3. Besides One Piece: New World would open the door for One Piece to go down the drain like Naruto has with Shippuuden. Toei has 15 years of One Piece experience, and they're doing a great job.
Almost every Doflamigo and Fujitora scene was great, Colosseum fights were animated pretty good. And most key parts looked top. If you really want a discussion about art and animation, and people who really know their stuff about key animators and directors. Go google : "A Study of One Piece Animation."
You can't say quality and pacing are going down the hill because you don't like it, it's for a fact that the pacing is the same and better animators are working the anime.
They would use different animation & animation styles if another studio picks it up. It would be too awkward to transition from where the anime is at right so they'll start from episode 1. The anime did have it's flaws pre-TS but it is to be expected seeing how the anime started during 1999. No studio would start where the anime is currently at, they'll either a.) start from episode 1 or b.) Start at the timeskip like fireplay suggested. No one is lazy, it's just really time consuming for people to watch from episode 1 to 650+. (people who only watch anime)
I don't mind watching from episode 1 if it has a good pacing (2-3 chapters) & better animation quality. Like I said before, it'll benefit the people who didn't start watching OP yet & it will attract more fans. I'm sure most OP fans wouldn't mind watching from episode 1 if it does have everything I've listed above. Who wouldn't want to see arcs like Alabasta, Skypiea, Enies Lobby, Sabaody Archipelago, Impel Down, MarineFord, etc. with remastered animation (close if not damn near the quality of film Z's animation) & better pacing. Again, this is just my wish and my view on things. The most obvious choice for now if it goes on a long filler arc ( 1 year ) or hiatus.
L0l do you have any idea what that would cost to achieve Movie Z quality every episode ?
Fun fact: One regular episode (20 minutes) of One Piece now costs 100.000 dollar as it is in the current quality. The budget for Film Z was 30.000.000 for 1 and a half hours.
If you spend that amount of cash every week for thirty years, how do you ever expect to make that back ? By selling Dvd's ?
Manga is not anime, so Oda won't be covering those expenses.
One Piece is not like Attack on Titan where the entire franchise stands on a good anime. The manga is monthly and there are only a few episodes in a season.

Toei milks One Piece all day long. One Piece is in every commercial break and every store. One Piece will never be on hiatus.
Filler break of an entire year won't happen, what is the last time we had a long filler in One Piece ? Right, there are no long fillers in one piece.
Maybe after Dressrosa they get a small filler adventure of like 10 eps. but every episode already is padded with filler. it's 1 chapter : 1 episode so with that ratio and the incidental filler breaks Toei has nothing to worry about catching up.
The format like it is, is here to stay. So get used to it, no madhouse or Pierot. Toei till the end, and judging from next weeks preview we can't complain about that. Dressrosa is one of the best animated arcs in the series.
