Watching anime around other people can sometimes be the most uncomfortable thing ever

I was over a family friends house spending the night. There were 5 people there, 1 like 17 the other around 20 and the other a grandmother. I didn't know them very well so I was just channel surfing, watching One Piece back to back.

So first it got weird because they kept going really har with the Nami fan service and the closeup on her tits and all of that, right on the screen and there were little kids in the room so they probably shouldnt have been seeing that... and then I didn't want the others to think I was weird (not about watching anime but about the fanservice)

Then the next day more people came over and there were like 10 adults around me who I didn't know and they didn't know anything about anime. I've never watched Sword Art Online so I gave it a try and I had to cut it off when it got to like the 4th episode when the girl with the pet named "Pina" came in... when they were at the desert place she was leaning over the table for something, a little girl who looked like 8 or 9 and it kept closing up on her ass. Then on the next scene she was just wearing her underwear and bra in bed and everybody was watching too, so I was like 'well okay now is not the time for this'

Then lastly I switched it to something everybody was familiar with, Dragon Ball and then of ****ing course I unknowingly picked the episode where Goku was looking at bulma in the bed

Then I just said screw it and put on a zombie movie. It was so awkward... so uncomfortable... so... abstract

thats why i dont watch anime. i dont even read naruto everyday. probably on wed and thurs. sometimes i check on internet if KnB or Conan has been updated. but im not a guy who watches or read anime a lot

But yeah I always find it so akward to watch anime around other people, it's like most anime have fanservice in them so it gets disturbing in front of other people.
