Anyone else notice how freaking epic the intro to this anime. Lmao then you all ready like "omg this show is probably about a girl that gets some sort of power, then u watch and realize its legit a about Socially distant girl that has like the most crazy over the top thoughts. XD

Yes the intro is epic & so is the anime

It's a great opening. It uses symbolism to an extreme. The point of it is to represent how Tomoko feels, the chains are like her personality that are binding her from being with the other people. The people can't see her which is pretty much how things are in the show for her. She tries to escape the chains to no avail.
