[Discussion] Wasted opurtunities in the Thousand Year Blood War arc?

As it has been anounced 2 weeks agi that bleach will end within the nect few chapters...it seems pretty likely that bleach will end on a somewhow...sour note i guess

We all remember the day 4 years ago when it was announced that this arc is the last bleach arc. We were all xcited hoping it would be the best belach arc,even surpassing the soul society arc. We all expected it to explain all the unexplained wonders in the belach world with a great plot,villain and a bomb ending.
While bleach is not technically over it seems obvious that a lot things which we wanted to happen in the arc...will defenetly not happen in the next few chapters
Here is my list of Kubo's wasted opurtunities
-Soul King was trolled(come on is he really so insignificant and helpless?)
-Urahara' bankai(could have been so much better)
-Kyroaku's bankai(i know some people disagree with me on this one)
-Ukitake's bankai(where is it?! his soul king realtion simply does not cut it)
-Sternitter could have been more badass...by not being so trolled
-Zero squad-look above..
-No flashback arc/story on the anhiliation of the quincy 200 years ago
-No flashback on the juha vs yamomoto fight 1 000 years ago-
-Juha's story was very incomplete...he was a magic baby... then he made the sternritter as a bearded adult...what about all the stuff in between? a flashback on that would be nice
-Aizen. A backstory...some abilitiess...even more god complex dialogue...anything would be great
-Ishida Uryu! My biggest complaint! I always liked the character. This arc would have been PERFECT to give him logical and meaningful story development. He was non existent throughout the arc. Instead we were shown random quincies which we did not care about. whats the deal with that? seriously?

what do you think were the wasted opurtinities in belach's final arc?

Ryuken. Oh look, an arc about Quincies. Let's make sure that the only other Quincy we knew in the series before this only appears in flashback and at the very end to deliver an arrowhead? I was expecting him to actually fight someone, preferably saving Uryu from Haschwalth.

Haschwalth. Hey look, it's the leader of the sternritter, wonder what he can do? Oh, he cut Ichigo's Bankai in half: this guy should be a big deal. And then Kubo just kills him off without a proper fight. His only fights were effectively the same, except against Uryu he was interrupted by Ichigo vs Yhwach rather than a flashback against Bazz B.

Zero Squad getting mostly off panelled. We only got one Shikai from all of them! Ichibe's fight was pretty kickass, but the others got off panelled by the Elites and came out looking weaker than most lieutenants. Especially since two of their opponents (Lille and Gerard) got rag dolled by their opponents when using the same form that they fought the zeros squad in.

Kenpachi, if the fit with the elites. Pernida stomps him without moving an inch, then he comes back, fights Yammy Junior, goes Bankai with no explanation, and then self destructs before Gerard dies. Kubo could have just not had him fight for whatever reason, since he clearly didn't want him to win.

There's a ton of these. Like sooooo many I'm glad you made this thread. The biggest one for me is how the royal guard got nerfed. Like seriously? They were supposed to be better than the resta the captains. I'm honestly starting to wonder if halibel is going to have a role but it's not lookin like it.

Aizen backstory or explanation is a good one. We need a lil more about yhwach and the soul kings relationship too

Grimmjow showed up for basically no reason. I would have expected him to at least fight someone

it started of great with the first raid of the sternritters and when the commander died, but after that it sucked so bad...
We needed more build-up around sternritters, explanation about why nel and grimmjow showed up again (didn't really had any input yet), what the deal is now with ichigo's (hollow)powers, more about ishida, more about the powers of other captains. Like, Hisagi got a bankai, but we didn't got to see it? So many dissapointments, too many to sum them all up...

never expected Hallibel to do something. I was surprised that she was still alive. RG got trolled hard. We only got 2 shikais from them. Oetsu's bankai probably would have been awesome as f**k since he created the zanpakuto.

I want to know anything else about the soul king and these hands. Like really, anything. Where did they come from? Have they been around forever? Did those hand creatures come from the king or what?

Kubo really half assed that portion of the manga...and alot of other things

Bleach deserves a bigger developement. If it ends in 2 chapters means that maybe Mr. Kubo cannot continue or the Shounen Jump decided its final due to bad ratings. I dont know what is happening, but this final looks forced.
Indeed, arcs for Soul King and his son, Aizen, Uryu, quincies and battles from history can add to the manga hundred of chapters. I would maybe read it, and with me how many fans will read?

1st half of the invasion was amazing imo, but the problems was that they were too many wasted opportunities in the second half of the invasion simply because it felt WAY to rushed, I thought the final fight would be better or at least somewhat equal too the ulq vs vaste lorde Ichigo fight, but it just feels so wasted. But in particular, so many wasted opportunities of character deaths. Characters need to die but you can't have someone dying no matter who it is without cry babies who send death threats to the author lol
