Wasn't it a bit of a dumb conclusion by Danzo and the Elders about the nine tails?

Sure they saw a sharingan on the Kyuubi, but isnt a bit dumb to think that a regular average Uchiha could control the nine tails? Danzo may have come to the conclusion that it was 'Madara' but didn't he question why the heck Madara would be helping the clan that cast him out for being too vengeful? I don't know about your opinions but their conclusion just seems overexaggerated to me.

I agree. If they thought about it for maybe 2 more seconds they would have realized it. However it goes towards plot, so no use in trying to figure out why they didn't do something different.

Only Manekyou Sharingan can control the Kyuubi....how did Itachi and killed a Clan full of members with MS if they had MS in the first place?....it makes no sense....Danzo and the elders were stupid.

Not really... I mean, it was a 3-tomoe Sharingan that controlled the Kyuubi, and it was a 3-tomoe Sharingan that showed up on the Kyuubi's eyes. It could be any or many experienced Uchiha that could have done it. As far as they knew.

Yeah but the conclusion that it was the representation of the whole clan was overexaggerated.

Maybe. Could have been they were worried about a single individual or a group getting away with it, or it was Danzō's machinations.

What you failed to mention is the fact that the whole Uchiha clan was "coincidentally" missing during the attack.
Not defending that ******* Danzo but I would have thought exactly the same too.
