[Discussion] Was Tobirama Senju a sensor?

I was re-reading through the Danzo vs. Sasuke battle and noticed something during the flashback where Danzo, Hiruzen, Tobirama and some more were surrounded by Kumogakure ninja. In one picture Tobirama is on a knee with his eyes closed and has two fingers touching the ground. He then tells the group exactly how many ninja are following them and is able to conclude that they don't know their position yet. Heres the page:

Now theres a couple of possibilities.

1.) Hes a sensor.

2.) Its a sensing technique.

Given his background I think both options are highly possible. For option one you have to take into consideration his clan, the Senju clan. As far as we know there is no specific KG for this clan. However, his brother was able to use a wood release KG. This suggests that its possible for members of a clan to have a KG while other members don't. I think its possible that Tobirama had a sensory KG in the same way that Hashirama had a wood KG.

For option two I think his mastery of the water element could have been used to develop a sensory technique. Water is present in pretty much everything around us. Its present in the ground as moisture and in the air as water particles. Considering he was touching the ground I think its possible he was using the water in the earth to sense the movement of enemy ninja.

Ah He is an old thing He is picking up the vibration on the grown the old indian put your ear to the grown. In the Army I remember guys that could pick up vibration on the grown with their hands and bare feet the tech is universal use by many good soldiers in many countries all over the world.
