Was the Kage Bunshin mastery a one time thing against Kakuzu?

How come we have never seen Naruto use the Shadow Clones in such a matter since? Like attacking with just a few bunshins to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, taking a deep breath and planning the next move Shikamaru style. Is it because he has BM now and does not need strategy to win?

Honestly no. He's used them in every situation since. His Pain fight, and all his past fights in the war. It is kind of foolish he hasn't used them in such skill against Juubito though.

He did that against Madara, and it let him figure out that Madara's fan re flects chakra attacks.

I think that he is trying to conserve more chakra in the war and making better and bigger attacks... Also his chakra also replenishes cuz of karuma.

Because only unintelligent fodder, like Kakuzu, would fall for such tricks. Every other opponent he came in contact with is far too smart for Naruto to fool.
