Lol @people downplaying izanagi. Danzo didnt waste izanagi. He only used izanagi if he couldn't dodge sasuke attacks or to get close enough to parry sasuke like the seal mark.

You really don't think summit arc sasuke could solo a kage other than danzo in a straight one on one?

Oh he can defeat a handful for sure, but the original post was making it sound easy. I'm not meaning to downplay Sasuke here but Danzo really isn't Kage level, as head of Root I was always disappointed by the guy.

If you have some ability that makes you invincible...then dodging and avoiding attacks is pointless.

Danzo's main problem was wanting to talk...he could have killed Sasuke had he immediately stabbed him when his binding seal activated and Sasuke was surprised...instead, he mouthed off about Itachi.

I disagree that Sasuke could've lost to Danzo. In any instance Sasuke is the stronger nin. Only time Danzo could've tied was with his surprise suicide tech. That's not so much skill as knowing intel before you fight. Danzo lost the second the match started by just being matched poorly.

But your point about Danzo's monologing is A*. He was trying to turn it into a mind-game morality battle. When a character has invulnerability like this it's going to get displayed and used as much as possible for plot reasons.

The Danzo/Sasuke fight wasn't wanking but it was still handled poorly and left me disappointed about both fighters involved. Strength/moveset-wise.
