Was Shikaku's plan for nothing?

Now that the four hokages have appeared and the Sage will most likely reveal himself, was Shikaku's plan nothing? Are they even still focusing on that anymore?

Give everyone a butt load of chakra so they can fight a buttload better is not a plan. A 5 year old could have thought of that plan.

Pretty simply this.

Basically each "team" is formulating a plan that helps them survive until the next stage.

Naruto/Kurama and Bee/Gyuki managed to release the six beasts and their hosts from Tobi's control, then with Kakashi and Guy they managed to put pressure on Obito and the Gedo Mazo, then Madara arrived and the Juubi awakened and they formulated another plan to hold their ground, then the Alliance arrived and Shikaku made a plan to KO the Juubi, the Juubi changed form and Shikaku formulated another plan who helped them survive, then Shikamaru formulated yet another to resist the gigantic TBB, finally the four Hokage arrived and decided to restrain the Juubi while the Alliance strikes him down.

Easily this plan will fail too, and the Juubi will reach is final form.

Basically, it's not that any of these plans is useless, it's just that while effective, it never manages to seal the fight entirely because Tobi, Madara and the Juubi are pretty much the thoughest opponents in the series.

Well, Alliance no Jutsu was part of the plan XD...and now they got extra guests, who might use their EMS, FTG, some great Mokuton thing or the Enma monkey...just sayin'...
