Was Sasuke trying to copy what Naruto did

When he added Amaterasu to his chidori, was he trying to copy what Naruto did with the rasengan, adding his nature affinity to chidori? Of course it backfired and cost both himself and Naruto an arm.

Yes,he cleverly used his powers,strategized when to absorb the Kyuubi's chakra from Naruto when the Kyuubi handed him his chakra.Sasuke,knowing the Kyuubi was helping Naruto by gathering and giving him chakra,was able to take the chakra at the perfect moment which he planned.

Then he divided that chakra with using the EMS,making the Chidori,and using Enton,while Naruto just used the Kyuubi's chakra for the Rasengan.

The anount the Kyuubi gave Naruto caused him to pass out.

I doubt since Naruto was not using wind release rasengan...probably wanted to add more power for he could win.

He had time to make it? He only used it like once anyway,perhaps he knew making a Kyuubi powered Rasengan was easier considering he has more experience with making a Rasengan.

He has not formed wind release rasengan in like ages, I believe just once. Guess kishi just forgot about that. Although I'm glad since wind release rasengan would be stronger than chidori.

A big part of Rasengans power is the rotation which Chidori doesn't have. 1 is missing am Element,another is missing rotation and they equal.

You're right.

Even though fire (enton)> wind=-1 for naruto
wind> lightning. =+1 for naruto.
Leaving it back at 0. Then factor in rasengans rotation. .
Kurama frs should come out on top.
