That is literately all the seals do, he gave BOTH Naruto and Sasuke his chakra, he didn't split it between them into Yin and Yang halves like Indra and Ashura were born with. Rinnegan (Yin-Yang powers) and Senjutsu of Six Paths (Yin-Yang powers).
Naruto's Yin chakra is for Six Paths Senjutsu, whereas Sasuke's is for the Rinnegan, most probable for why Naruto wasn't running around with a Dojutsu (besides you know, not being born with Yin chakra going into his eyes and all).
