Was Sasuke fit for the Akatsuki ?

At the time was Sasuke really strong enough for the Akatsuki? When he tried to capture Killer Bee he was tricked by a simple substitution tentacle that I am sure any other member would have noticed. In my opinion if it was a one on one Killer Bee would have. destroyed Sasuke. So at the time was he strong enough to be in the Akatsuki or was it just a bad idea to send him after the 8 Tails?

because he just recently fought Itachi, remember? The Bijuu Dama though, might have destroyed them all if it

The other members did not notice the substitution method being used themselves until they started to extract the chakra. I think Sasuke was ready although Karin, Juugo and Suigetsu were not

Only because it was Base Sasuke with no control of his 2 day old MS and the loss of his greatest ability which he had grown accustomed to over the last 3 years. The second Sasuke awakened Amaterasu, he could defeat Bee alone.

OT: Yes he was. Not even Zetsu and Obito realized the tentacle was a fake until the sealing process didn't work. No other member would have noticed either.

Hebi Sasuke was above many active akatsuki members. Sure, he was rash sometimes, but so were most members. In the end he gets the job done.

Here is my honest opinion.

He definitely has the skills and killing intent. He is good at analyzing the battlefield. Good tactics.

The one thing all the other members have, and also the Jinchuriki (excluding Naruto). Experience.
They have been in more battles than Sasuke.

Sasuke was indeed strong enough, but he shouldn't have got Killer Bee as his first mission, the only teams who could beat him in the Akatsuki were, Pain and Konan, Itachi and Kisame and Obito

His crew was a stand in for all the members that died. Deidara would have got the job done though. Deidara solo'd 1 and 3 tails.

His skills are qualified, better than most even, but he's too reckless to join a well-planned and organized group like Akatsuki. He moves following his wimp and do whatever to reach his goals. Moreover, he doesn't listen to anyone. He works best alone. Don't get me wrong, I like him.
