Sakura already stated either way he was dying. Either through death or natural, his time was limited.

Not really,Obito should've died back when Madara had retrieved his other Rinnegan imo.

Obito finally dying is a welcome change since the story made it seem like nobody was gonna die period.

I was originally going to say Kisame until you reminded me of Jiraya's death. He definitely takes the cake as the most gruesome death in the series.
