technically he was right in that instance but the whole destiny things can be true and wrong, we people have the ability of free will to determine our own lives, basically making do with what we have and overcoming great obstacles through sheer determination and hard work or talent, so destiny is what u make it sometimes and in the case of naruto's destiny it was real....

Destiny has to be incorrect to an extent. If there was no escaping fate, then Naruto and Sasuke would be destined to fight forever with no resolution. If they're going to achieve a resolution, they will defy their destiny.

the way i see it, because somebody can see the future, thus seeing your life does not invalidate the hard work you do. neji thing was that everyone is predestined to be whatever they are. well it's not really true. even though the toad sage had a prophecy, it wasn't really clear. remember it went along the lines of, jiraiya's pupil will either destroy or lead a revolution in the ninja world. so even though the toad sage could see into the future, it was still up to naruto to fulfill the things in order to make it true. so he had to work hard and inspire those around him in order for him to be who he is.
