I liked part one a lot. All characters were awesome. But part 2 disappointed me, it wasn't about hard work anymore it was all about Free power ups and Naruto chasing Sasuke.
The only reason why Sakura could face Madara was because of Sasuke's Susanoo. Hinata was trapped in IT. And the reason why she went against Madara was to impress Sasuke, which made her look pathetic, especially when he disrespected her.

The first part, with Naruto's fight with Kiba were the first anime episode I watched at tv
dubbed in romanian wich is a better dubbed version than the english one.
I liked it so I kept watching it until the translated episodes finished and they reloaded the anime from episode 1. Then I asked my friend Google for more Naruto. Since I discovered the manga i became Kishi's fan and I still am because he really has his unique drawing style and original plot even if it is filled with manga clichees and has inspiration in other mangas. I loved his panels, the way he revealed the plot twists, the characters drawing and the feeling that his story gave me, a filling of a story worth to read by itself.
I consider Naruto a very good manga from both, plot and characters
and if you don't like it try to think at a better plot and characters and try to surpass one of the greatest mangaka with your talent not with empty words.

Well it was one of the first anime people watched, thats an auto + rep for the show, and as for me it was, the characters as well as the plot, he powers in Naruto and the fighting styles is one of a kind, thats why naruto matchups are the best. love the villains (madara/pein) and ma ***** ITACHI
It was both for me but more importantly was its great potential. That said although I was hooked and kept up with it from start to finish, it fell far short of its potential and in many ways was a let down but all in all I still enjoyed it.
For me it was mostly the characters and jutsu/powers system being memorable and distinct (at least up until some point), because my memory is pretty bad
