Maybe because there was no contenders other than hiruzen and Ay and he stomped Ay already. Hiruzen was closer to his prime then and nagato was a kid so he might be the strongest of his time, if he lived 10 years longer, nagato obito and itachi and gai would have been stronger. He was the only shinobi in his time that was extraordinary, the generation after him nagato kakashi and obito generation was filled with talent, kisame, deidara, sasori...



Now that I think about it if orochimaru had his Dragon God transformation then he may have been more powerful than minato or at least equal to minato since the only way to beat the dragon god is to seal oro and minato only way of doing that is RDS and that means sealing himself but as we all know not even RDS can get rid of oro so.

He stomped garbage obito when obito knew all about him and he had no Intel on obito and obito also had kurama full form obito sucks and minato didn't even use sm lol

As I said, Minato avoided fighting Ay the second time around, and your scan only proves my claim.

Not really, considering Minato has spent his whole life in the village, while Orochimaru defected, and continued to develop techniques. Hell, even while he was in the village, Orochimaru was snooping around and abducting people to further his research. Not only that, but it was said the vast majority oppossed Minato's appointment and preferred Orochimaru - but i'm not about to argue with you, of all people.
