Was Lee vs Gaara plot no jutsu?

I was re-reading the Lee vs Gaara fight, and IMO that fight was complete bullshit.

Lee could have won in base. Gaara couldn't touch lee, and kankuro said that Gaara's sand shield took up a lot of chakra. Also if fists weren't enough, lee could have just used his speed and stuck a paper bomb on him. That fight could have been low diff, but plot made Gaara the strongest genin when it should have been Lee.

Lee landed two hits easily with no damage. After he saw he did no damage he then went into the lotus. If he stuck an paper bomb on him instead of one of his punches or kicks, he would have won low diff.

Also if lee never went into the lotus, he could have just stalled and let Gaara's chakra drain due to his sand shield, and then a mid diff victory for Lee.

Lee could have won if he could open more gates but in no way could he beat Gaara in base or with just a few gates open.

Yes it was plot. Lee should have won with primary lotus, 2-5 gates unneedef. Gaara escapes by creating a clone and dissappears all in the blink of an eye. We didn't see gaara make the clone as watchers and he was in mid air being kicked. Plot jutsu for sure, if lee attempts it again or plot doesn't happen Gaara is dead, No Naruto vs Gaara, ect

Too much BS happene. Gaara creates a clone without actually creating it, Gaara disappears in the blink for an eye without actually watchers seeing it, Lee just happen to blink his eyes, Lee chooses to body bump gaara vs a barrage of punches, gaara cushions his fall and Lee doesn't fall right on top of him and crush him.

Thts not really bs Thts just reaction feats and sand speed feats it was never really stated Gaara needed to do anything to create a sand clone and it wasn't really a sand clone he tricked lee with it was his sand armor

Also back on topic no lee couldn't have won if u see or read at the end of fight Gaara received no damage only his sand armor for damaged but nothing lee did touched his actual physical body

I don't know what do you mean by ''without actually creating it''. The fact is that Gaara is able to control sand without moving his hands, so I don't know why it is hard to imagine him creating a clone in the blink of an eye or using his sand armor as a substitution. He also did the same thing against the Mizukage.
