Was Kakashi Worthy Of Being A Hokage?

After Sasuke killed Danzou, Kakashi was chosen to be the next Hokage. Does this mean that he is the strongest Leaf Jounin currently. Is he really worthy of becoming a Hokage?
Also, if he is not worthy, tell me your opinion about who is.
IMO it shoud be Shikaku

kakashi is extremely smart and a very powerful shinobi. if he was considered for hokage it was for a good reason.and on top of that wasnt he also made a general or captain of the shinobi alliance.

Shikaku is not known for his strength. his main ability is his ability to think practically and make the right decisions. that's why he was chosen by the shinobi alliance to act as main strategist.

While he's definitely a worthy choice for Hokage, he's wise enough to know such a position is not for him.
Kakashi probably harbors no illusions <cough> unlike a certain<cough> knuckleheaded Ninja about the 'glamor' of the job. I mean , how's a fellow going to be able to get in a decent amount of por....er, erotic literature read time in if he's continually stuck behind a never ending mountain of paper work?
