At the first we all saw that team 7 was a disaster at the begining at the anime Sakura loved Sasuke, Naruto loved Sakura and Sasuke was allways cool and Kakashi was allways thinking about the damn book not to improve the skills of his team but in the shippuden he started training Naruto in the wind manipulation so he teached him something but thats all he could have at least tryed to find out which nature type was he so then he could use his wind jutsu but no he only trained Sasuke
If we look at the others team like Gai team we see Gai allways trained with Lee and all of his moves he learned from him and the other teams learned from their sensis or his parents .

So what do you think was he a good sensei

Kakashi was a great sensei. he taught his team the most important lesson, which was teamwork. They were a mess at the very beginning because they did not work as a team. I would assume that the manga skipped most of the training and concentrated mostly on the adventures, until the chunin exams came up. Then he gave his students individualized lessons to teach them in the areas they needed help with most. he only concentrated on sasuke near the end because orichimaru was after him.

What I didn't like Kakashi was allways with Sasuke. He always taught Sasuke all very good moves. He taught him Chidori! He never trained Naruto, that was always other teachers... He even made Ebisu teach Naruto! It is kind of lame he never got into the lives of his other students (Sakura and Naruto) Its like he only had time for Sasuke and i think Kakashi completely failed Sasuke as a teacher. He should've known that Sasuke was mentally unstable, and really all he did was help Orochimaru create a dangerous weapon. If Sasuke ever does anything to hurt Konoha, it will be partially on Kakashi's head.

Kakashi trained Sasuke becuase he was similar to him just like what Gai did to Lee so Kakashi is just as good as any other teacher they just like to choose favorites

I believe Kakashi was a terrible teacher. He only really cared anything for Sasuke, and didn't care at all for either of his other students. He spoiled Sasuke as a matter-of- fact. IMO, he's the worst team sensei in the manga, next to Sandaime.

No problem. I always end up debating with people online about Kakashi being a bad sensei. They normally get frustrated. Kakashi is my favorite character, and he's a darn good nija, but as far as mentoring ability goes, he has none. I think he deserved to lose all of his students at the end of part one. Afterall, he didn't even care for two of them.

Are you serious. When it came to sasuke what would you do??? If someone like Orochimaru was after your student wouldnt you try to make him defend himself as much as he could. Also he saw a bit of himself in sasuke and thats why also, sasuke could learn moves he knew and much faster than naruto or sakura could. If you say Kakashis bad than you say Gais bad for lee, the third for orochimaru, Baki for gaara. All sensies have a student they care for or they think its their duty to train

If Kakashi was really bad than he wouldnt have even tried to find naruto ebisu he wouldnt have cared but he did. You cant pin him hanging around with sasuke more, and say that makes him a bad teacher.

Hes a better teacher than Asuma who always got his way by bribing is studenst(choji) though i like asuma too

Kakashi is a great sensei

I think Kakashi was one of the better sensei's in Konoha. He didn't make the mistake of over-pampering his students. He allowed them to grow up through experience, rather than through textbook teachings. He made sure not to rush them so they could understand things before being thrown into dangerous situations. The way Naruto developed was directly because of how Kakashi trained him. Sasuke on the other hand was beyond help. He was already consumed by hatred and was beyond saving.

Other teachers may have had favorites, but do you see them actively pushing their other students away to train their favorite? No. You can't compare Kakashi with Gai. Gai may have trained Lee a bit more, but Lee had a huge handiocap having no Ninjutsu, or Genjutsu. Gai had to focus on Lee so he wouldn't fall so far behind his teammates, who didn't have the same problem. Gai did teach Lee gates, but he tried teaching it to the whole team, and Lee was the only one that could do it. Ya don't see Gai blatently teaching a student a technique that the others couldn't learn, unlike Kakashi. Gai focused on the weakest team member, Kakashi did the polar opposite. He trained, and praised the genius, and let the genius get way far ahead of his teammates. He teaches Sasuke an assassination jutsu, then he critiques Jiraiya about teaching Naruto Rasengan. So, he can teach Sasuke whatever he wants, but Jiraiya can't do the same for Naruto? And Kakashi didn't do a thing for Sakura. I think Naruto would've been better off with any other teacher, because Kakashi didn't do much, or care to do much, for him. Anything Naruto learned in part one was taught to him byu Jiraiya, and anyone that was there for Naruto, and believed in him, was Jiraiya. Kakashi was in Sasuke's corner, so, Jiraiya was in Naruto's.

I see your point but in the end thats what happens. Like during the chunnin exams when Kakashi tought Sasuke the Chidori its not like anyone could learn it. Kakashi could not have gotton the same results with any of them if he was teaching all three at the same time. And after that Jiraiya told Kakashi to let Naruto be taken in his hands not kakashis. Sasuke was him as a younger kid essentailly its only natural he would wanna work with him more idk, Your right the favoritism isnt a good thing but thats not the point of a bad sensei, a bad sensei is someone is bad at teaching pretty much and you cant deny he was good at that

i think kakashi did well UNDER THE Circumstances... alot of stuff hapened FAST! and Team 7 had to GROW UP FAST so he taught them the basics and then alot of there training came from experience in the chunnin exams and the Zabuza arc... i think he did well with the time he was given...

I do see where you're coming from, but, I think a good teacher doesn't play favorites blatently. Kakashi would've been alright if he'd taken Sasuke on as a private pupil from the start, because he was a horribl;e team leader. I mean, Sasuke was the only one to leave Kakashi's teachings with more than he had whjen he went in.
