It's a simple idea really. And is one that I believe holds some merit..

I guess my question boils down to...how did we go from here...

To here...

So the Princess asks herself, "How should I go about bringing peace to the world? Oh...well let me eat that fruit everyone has been saying not to touch on the off chance that it gives me Godly powers."

Was Kaguya tempted by another?

Some one with the ability to influence minds. Some one...like these guys...

Obviously, I'm not saying an Uchiha was responsible...but think about where their powers come from.

The fruit is contradictory is it not? It grows once every millennium and can turn an ordinary person into a God. No one knows why they shouldn't touch it, but somehow knows what it is capable of, which of course, makes no sense. How could some one know if no ones ever touched it?

What I assume to be many of your answers..

"Well Kaguya saw the world in chaos and became a God to bring order. And...well the fruit grows on the God Tree, so people just assumed it would give them limitless power"

And yes, this could be what happened. But again, I ask you, how did she know what the fruit would do? She had to have been told no?

In the end the point I'm trying to get across is...Is there another villain?? The one who got Kaguya to eat the fruit?

so your telling me you wouldn't do all you could as the princess for your people if they were in trouble?
I'd go to the very depths of hell for my family Lol

She could've just thought it'd do something I mean they couldn't touch it for a reason right?

Unbeknownst to many, the Shinigami of the Reaper Death Seal is a woman:

The Reaper is a Hannya Demon who are all females and solely females.

The Shinigami is also a priestess holding a prayer beads and reciting a prayer before commencing the sealing ritual:

The Reaper's initial stance with it arms spread is a clerical/priestly stance:

Like Rikūdou/Hagoromo's stance:

It was established and well known by now that the Shiki Fūjin required Rikūdo/Hagoromo's Tablet as the catalyst for the Shinigami Mask to unseal the Reaper:

It is because the Shiki Fūjin is Rikūdo/Hagoromo's Jutsu

and the Reaper is most probably Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Rikūdo/Hagoromo's mother:

As to why Kaguya became the Shinigami of the Shiki Fūjin, Kishimoto has not yet explained or revealed why, either as an end effect of eating the Shinju's fruit or as a mother's sacrifice to aid her son in fighting the Jūbi.

Sure...why not. I'd give it all I had. What I wouldn't do though, is eat a fruit from the God I worshipped and hope that it gives me godly powers. If she was concerned for her people (which Im not saying she wasn't) then wouldn't angering the God seem like it would lead to more trouble for your people rather than helping them..?

A Hannya is a demoness in a perpetual state of torment:

everyone always had chakra, they were unaware of it and couldnt use it... Kaguya ate the fruit and got a lot of chakra then her son was born with large pools of chakra, unlocked the secrets of the chakra, then taught it to everyone

Ohhh this is good. Really good, major kudos. However, this would naturally lead to the idea that there was no Shinigami before Kaguya ate the fruit, is it possible the fruit passes the torch from Death God to Death God? That, in turn, would also lead to me to believe that the fruit represents the Shinigami as well. I've theorized that the fruit is a separate entity from the tree all together and it wants to be eaten to gain influence over mankind... this is why the Juubi protects people from it (or so I think). I wonder then if we will see some one use the Reaper Death Seal, and if so, how the Juubi will react to it.

Anyway, great job as per usual. Wheres the thread on it eh?

EDIT: Becoming the Shinigami, of course, seems like it could the punishment for eating the fruit. Kind of like a Pirates of the Caribbean (if you've seen them) where becoming the Cpt. of the Flying Dutchman leads to the responsibility of seeing the departed souls to the afterlife.

Like I said, I know the Reaper is her, as to why she became the Reaper is still a mystery, all I know is that she, as a Hannya, is in a state of torment.

Exactly, this is kind of the point I was trying to make. Obviously no normal person at that time could use Genjutsu, so who does that leave us with? The list is short...

I would also like to add that the color of the Hannya Mask (the one Orochimaru used) indicates the social status of the woman before becoming the Hannya Demoness, a White Mask represents a woman of royal or noble birth, of course we really don't know what color the Shinigami Mask is since the Manga is uncolored.

You know, this gives me a really cool idea. Is it possible that the series truly starts a 1000 years before Rikudo's time? If what you say is true, that becoming the Shingami represents torment, then it makes sense that whomever was carrying the burden would want to pass it on. I just thought of this so its in its infancy, but I think its possible that Kaguya wasn't the first to eat the fruit, but that some one had eaten the fruit 1000 years prior and got her to eat it to save them from the eternal torment. I don't know...just an idea. I may try to expand on it later.

Nope, it's far too late to introduce another villain.

Lol.

That's one argument, but I don't think so. Obito is still redeemable (I know some would disagree). If Obito and Madara were played, and I think there is more than enough evidence to suggest this, then helping take down the one who played them could allow them to rest in peace. Breaking the influence over the corrupted world is really all they've ever wanted, a final villain, aka the one who got Kaguya to eat the fruit and set up most of what has transpired, would bring the peace others have failed to achieve.

Im thinking she was a genjutsu type with out of this world chakra control. Became one...
And I love how Derp took over this threads, but I like the OP effort and creativity.

Nope, it's far too late to introduce another villain.

Yeah, I dont think she would be a villain anyway I got a self sacrificing vibe from her. And I need to rep you, because your sig have me life. Mock my world that will be Cannon.

There was no chakra before KAguya.

Yes, yes, I get it. A lot of people are making that claim, but its not quite what I'm asking. Of course normal people during Rikudo's era couldn't use chakra the way we see it being used now. The point of this thread was to question why Kaguya ate the fruit. I am simply making the claim that it seems more likely she was influenced into doing it rather than doing it on a whim. Who influenced her would be the only question, and as many pointed out, people could not use chakra, hence they couldn't use genjutsu. So this leaves us with few candidates for those able to wield such a power...but there are some.
