Was Kabuto able to perfect sage mode like Naruto?

Was Kabuto able to perfect sage mode, what I mean is Jiraya still had a frog nose when he did it but was this the case for Kabuto?

Yea he did, he himself stated that he had perfected it to a point where he wasn't a snake anymore, he was a dragon (which is supposed to be something like a superior form of a snake in Japan I think)

Kabuto did perfect the SM. His was called Dragon sage mode I think... I think Orochimaru took it from him when he extracted his powers from him.

I was thinking the same thing you were. When you perfect a sage mode you take on a few chracteristisc of the animal, thats why Naruto has the eyes.
-When you aren't perfect you warp your body towards the style of the animal.

Unless I read wrong, who said he couldn't absorb natural energy by himself? I was under the impression that he could... but like naruto, absorbing natural energy would mean you have to stand still...... What kabuto did was take juugo's cells which constantly take in natural energy and thus he never has to leave sage mode or stand still....

And different sage modes probably do different things... he had the ability to do all sorts of things with his eyes and ears... maybe strength isn't one of the dsm perks.. maybe it was and we never got to see him pull off a strength feat..

Kabuto never once said he had a imperfect sage mode.... He commented that OROCHIMARU had a imperfect sage mode.. he surpassed that and was a dragon
