But the difference sharingan makes itachi better and then ms even further sm jiraya still loses to ms itachi whether you like it or not and the fact that it taked jiraya running from his opponent for 30 minutes to go into sage mode results in a L to itachi who can go into ms and use amaterasu tsukoyami or susano at will... Jiraya can't even beat kisame who can create an ocean and summon 1000 sharks and super shark bomb jutsu completely obliterates jiraya and his toads

Yes i know it was base jiraya and it was itachi with the sharingan... It seems like you are very egnorant towards jiraya.... He was almost capebl of taking down pein with sage mode who is leagues above itachi pein even praised him that if it wasnt for his secret he would have been taken down

Jiraya wont need to keep runing from one place to another in order to achieve sage mode he could hide himself the same way he did when he got his arm ripped of.

Tsukuyomi genjutsu wont be a problem since jiraya will get the help of the two frogs on his shoulder who are sensory types and can sense is chakra flow and if jiraya would be in genjutsu and release him from it.

Not forgetting jiraya can make mountain levels senjutsu attacks.

He could have been caught in tsukoyami... Itachi didn't want to mind **** his old ass let alone kill konoha's best at the time while the village was coming off devastation and was rebuilding and had zero defense if someone wanted to come by and wreck

Itachi didn't try to immobilize him so where did you get he couldn't from... Jiraya has no counter to tsukoyami or susano would wreck jiraya kow diff we also later find out itachi has yata and totsuka so how the **** can jiraya compete and kisame is a water god... He barely did a descent job against the pains, he ran from the aninal pain alone for 30 minutes of a 2 hour fight in real time and he faced 3 pains at once he got wrecked and when he faced all 6 he was shitted on...

This is why i gotta ask if Jiraiya is underestimated and lmao Kisame would have more problems facing Jiraiya than Itachi and thats the obvious. In the right setting Kisame could get his ass beat to high diff especially if we consider Sage mode. He didn't run from animal path, he was gathering chakra for Sage mode and it wasn't even that long, maybe like 5 or 10 mins the most so idk why you even mentioned that. Yeah he lost but so would Itachi and Kisame to the 6 Paths of pein so you really have no point....

Possibly. He was sick and forced Kakashi to endure 3 days of torture instantaneously, so a Healthy Itachi should be capable of much more.

Kisame implied that it does as Tsukyomi could've killed Kakashi, something Itachi never denied. The reason why he never attempted to fight back once Jiraiya appeared was because he lacked killer intent and that it wasn't within the range of his plans just to simply fight Jiraiya.

His own purpose was to ensure Sasuke was safe and remind Danzo that he was still alive, so killing Jiraiya wouldn't have made sense given that.

we all know in ourselves that if they truely came there to put down jiraiya he would be dead no questions asked...my reason
first of all its 2 against one itachi and kisame would overpower him honestly.
secondly manga advises against fighting 1v1 against an uchiha and this 1v2 ...sharingan user and a bijuu claimed lvl chakra user.
his sage mode needs time....summoning 2 toads for help is a good idea till itachi sees through their plot and devise counter and even the toads need time to build sage chakra.
jiraiya is a boss yes but in that current base state he wont last long honestly.

IIRC it was implied that Kakashi survived in some part due to the fact that he has a Sharingan (just adding on to this).

This might go some way into explaining why Itachi doesn't use Tsukuyomi when he's put up against anyone who isn't using a Sharingan (to avoid killing them).

It was implied that the Sharingan could provide him with some resistance, but the fact remains that Kakashi and Kisame both thought he could kill Kakashi with Tsukyomi, so Tsukyomi can indeed kill someone.
