Was Itachi's Crow Clone a Genjutsu or Ninjutsu?

Itachi uses a Crow summon, they are real crows..

however his crow summon uses powers according to Itachi just like Katsuyu dos according to Tsunade.

like Gamabunta transformed into ''Kurama'' because he allowed Naruto to use Transformation jutus on him..

so the Crows can be used with Itachi's chakra for Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, shadow clone or whatever :itachi:
