Was itachi caught in a genjutsu by tobi when he supposedly killed his clan?

The reason y i say this is because im sure tobi had the izanagi when he fought konan to escape her jutsu. and izanagi is supposed to create from narutopedia-

It just seems severe for itachi to kill his clan and family like that.

You don't understand the theory behind Izanagi.

Izanagi is not used to control others. It's used on yourself

i kno that but it also makes the opponent think they caught u with there attack so i do know also it can change your perception on reality

Izanagi wouldnt be able to trap itachi in a genjutsu its not designed to do that
KA would be the sort of technique that would have made itachi kill his own clan not izanagi
That being said itachi has been stated to have done it of his own choice

izanagi is a self inflicting genjutsu...it has no effect on others except by yourself...
