I think sakura was able to hit kaguya because she was in her Blinspot, after Kakashi placed here beside him befor he told everyone the stratagy.
If Sakura hadnt had this advantage she would have never land a hit ( Kaguya would never avoiding by flying up, if she had seen sakura)

Kakashi showed in Part 1 by the chunin exam that he knows a lot of the hyugas,in my opinion it was part of his plan, thats the reason he placed saukura beside him.

Kaguya had an exclamation mark because she heard the TAP of sakura, but she heard her to late !

Regardless of whether or not Kakashi planned it there is no way Sakura could touch Kaguya in a 1 vs 1 scenario. Did she just simply use the element of surprise after Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi limited her options and cornered her or was it Kakashi's plan to force Kaguya into Sakura's corner? That's the real question.

I just figure Team 7 has good synergy and Sakura was able to put herself to use because of the opening her teammates created for her.

Noticed that the blindspot grows larger the farer the distance ?
Look at sakuras posture/position, the distance to Kaguyas back was at least a few meters away so she might has passed perfectly through the blindspot circle you can see clearly on the picture you posted.
It looks to me that a few meters straight away from nejis blindspot the cone is as bright as a body.

Of course after sakura gets nearer faster, kaguya noticed it because of the noise, sakura made when she was pushing of the susanno and because sakura overlapped with the blinspot cone when she got nearer, but it was to late for kaguya, sakura was in her blindspot, at least for a second or two, but that was enough to make kaguya think, she can avoiding by flying high upwards, which was Kakashi planned by placing sakura in his susanno !

Before Kakashi got the Power up, the only thing he was able to do was watching Kaguyas fighting style.
He knew that kaguyas fastes attack is the Ash bone shot, which she used very often, especially when she fought naruto in the ice dimension, where kakashi was only standing there watching.

So he planned to pretend that he got hit, but phrases through to use Raikiri !
Its good to see that even in a godlike battle one old principle of a true ninja ( studying the opponents fighting style) leading to a Hit, maybe even victory !
