Was infinite Tsukyomi that bad?

1) everyone lived in their dream world

2) No one was suffering

3) The world was 100% peaceful

While yes, people would have eventually transferred to Zetsu and lost their consciousness they still lived their perfect life with no suffering.

Thoughts?

Question is given the chance to choose between a real life and living under a dream world which one would you choose?

It was bad because it was forced upon people without giving them a choice.

I live quite comfortably in real life but id still take the dream world route if its 100% positive as displayed in the manga. Choices are forced on people regardless but I get what you're saying.

tbh it doesn't seem bad. I think that's why Kishi changed the Infinite Tsukuyomi purpose from the endless peaceful dream to the white Zetsu Army BS.

this is basically your death dream. By yielding to the dream world, you are essentially giving up your life since turning into a zetsu means converting your body into a different state of existence much like your body disintegrating back into dirt after rotting for so long.

You will essentially live in heaven but only briefly up until you are fully converted.

It was fake so yea it was pretty bad, put it this way, if you had the chance to be with say, the girl of your dreams, literally, but it was all fake and in your head but felt real, is that what you'd want?

i was always a supporter of this idea. hell even after the bullcrap asspulled stupid zetzu shit i still supported it. once youre dreaming the feeling for time is lost. especially in tsukuyomi, so basically you would be able to have a lifetimes worth of experience, even if you turn into a zetzu in a few days. not to mention it would be peacefull and there wouldnt be any suffering. basically the same as the matrix. why the **** would anyone want to get out of it, or give this up?

sure its easy for us privileged people, but i would say the majority (poor people, war orphants, victims etc) would prefer this to their actual real life. its just our IGNORANCE and ARROGANCE which leads people to refuse this.

It is necessary as in a matrix that there were new people

Well, considering how cruel and dark their world really is, it's probably good for most.

Yeah considering how horrible the shinobi world was at the time you would think more and more people would have signed up for it.

Thousands of death bodies, friends, loved ones, fathers, mothers and companions all killed. Even if its just 3 days before you die that dream could last for a lifetime. Better than 30 years of suffering

It was fake so yea it was pretty bad, put it this way, if you had the chance to be with say, the girl of your dreams, literally, but it was all fake and in your head but felt real, is that what you'd want?

Thats a poor comparison though considering their world vs the world of someone privileged.
Im thinking from an overall perspective not a "Based on my life" perspective. Someone suffering, poor or just overall born in a terrible place would probably choose that option.

Tsukyomi time doesn't matter so if you did lets say die in 2 days that could be a lifetime or two of pure happiness

The humans of the dark ages would probably choose the infinite tsukuyomi, while we wouldn't. It's all about perspective. Some people have the means necessary to make a good life, and some don't. Infinite Tsukuyomi can't be properly judged.
