Was Hagaromo disappointing when you first seen him?

I know that he's really strong and etc, but were you disappointed when you first saw him?, i was expecting some bad-ass design or something, but all i saw was hiruzen, i think kishi should showed him in a younger version, kind of like what he did with the hokages, also he should've showed us some type of flashback about himself, because i would love to see some of the powers that he possesed back then, it would've gotten me more hype about his character, but mostly it was about Indra and ashura, so my intention quickly focused on them, they kind of stole Hagaromo's shine :erm:

I remmber when people used to make all these theories about, and all these fan-made photo's, but when i seen him, it was wayy different then i expected, (Dialouge & looks)

Yeeah I agree. I was expecting atleast 3 chapters yet in a way we were just left with more unanswered questions and events so hopefully he'll return and we'll get more back story about him.

No, I was more than satisfied. Just seeing him and reading his dialogue at long last was exhilarating for me. He's a sage and died at a ripe old age so it only makes sense he would appear as old as he did. He gave off the vibe of a wizard, like Gandalf, Dumbledore or Nicodemus from the Secret of NIHM and I loved it. He doesn't have to be some pretty boy bishounen to be compelling or for me to respect and admire him.

And I believe he told his story well too. He elaborated further on Kaguya, revealed his brother and the sons' names and histories as well as his own personality, ideals and philosophies and I liked Naruto's dumbfounded reaction to him. The pacing of his chapters was done exceedingly well too, making them very suspenseful and heart throbbing.
