Pain doesn't have 360 degree vision... He only has it if his bodies stand in a complete circle which even then wouldn't be perfect.

OT: Easily Gai. By Shippuden Kakashi goes on to admit Gai had passed him up.

If we consider that Lee could open up 5 Gates as a genin, it's easy to surmise Gai could as well.

I don't see Kakashi handling that with Gai in control during Part I.

However, if we go by feats only, then technically Kakashi.

In a 1v1 matchup agsin 3t/MS Obito landed hits on kakashi but struggled and didnt touch Gai a single time. And hed only popped 5-6gates..

Kakashi got pwned by his senseis rasenganless arm enough to get out of a 1v1 with jj madara and landed more and bigger hits than kakashi did.

Oh and sadly in case it was forgotten as it seems to be: obito was orchestrating his fight with kakashi(who thought he was rlly putting up a fight before nd after the "real" fight in kamui dimension. So again.. gai>kakashi even in war arc at 5-6 gates.

7 gates is OP and unneeded. And yes, as kids it makes sense for gai to at least have 5 gates unlocked as a genin if his pupil did and kakashi had no doujutsu which is the only reason he perfected his signature technique that gai would blitz ***** slap out the way and give a hefty whirlwind kick to the face to counter.

Top that with logic and ill go into part 1 shippuden. IF it can be explained how kakashi can gg kisame also when only a fanboy will say kakashi>Bee also pre kyuubi chakra boost(ifhe can still at all) in war arc

cloaked Naruto was faster than Sasuke in pt 1 yet sasuke was able to react to everything Naruto threw at him.

Considering these guys fought each other on a daily basis it would be even easier for Kakashi to react to him
