Definitely not. I still don't entirely believe the Itachi change of heart and think it's too far a stretch and is bad writing. Had Naruto not been a weekly comic manga we would've seen more link up and seen the story go off on fewer tangents. Danzo would've been prominent or at least seen in part 1, the Konoha 11 get ditched, the sannin keep gaining more and more powers and character storylines go all over the place.

Are we talking about the main general storyline, or every single little plot detail?

I think he left some wholes like when the hokages were first ressurected but they didn't live up to any hype
But he was able to cover these holes

well personally, I like how it came out c: its better then fairytail who just finishs one epic battle against 6 of the strongest mages ever, in one episode in like 8mins instead of DBZ fights which are like 20 or naruto ones were there planned out and like 2-5 episodes :3

I think Kishi planed how parts one and two were going to play out when they began, but added in all of the extra bells and whistles while the story progressed.

It came out pretty good, originally planned or not. So no complaining here :)

I didn't rewatch the anime but I reread all the manga chapters and I think it's planned from the very beginning
Authors usually plan everything from the beginning of their story

-that was Itachi's character... how exactly is that bad writing? Making a self-less shinobi is bad writing? uh no

- Danzo was in the shadows in Part 1.

- K11 were only important because those are Naruto's peeps in the village that is all.

- Cause there are more characters..

- You need to be open minded to see the manga of naruto clearly.

well, he obviously had the main story of Sasuke leaving & Akatsuki planned out, but not certain details
