Of course he was, If he was nt right, itachi wouldnt have taken on that role. They are only two uchihas alive (n two more alive by default) n look at how much trouble they are causin every one else in the villages ,the great fourth ninja war.

Yes Danzo was right in his way. He wants to protect Konoha whatever does. Just taking their eyes is kind an evil. But It's for boosted himself for protect Konoha in my opinion. After all he could kill Hiruzen all the time when he was old. But just wait.

I believe the massacre was a must, but don't you guys think their should've been a little more survivors, like little kids. I'm sure their were children that were at least younger or Sasuke's age range that had no idea.

They were way beyond "talking". The 3rd already tried diplomacy and failed. Danzo knew exactly what to do and did it.
