Was Danzo right?

I can't help but think that Danzo was right in most his actions in the end, even if they were immoral. The Uchiha, the most powerful clan in your village, are planning a coup detat. Diplomatic solutions have failed. You can:
A) Let the coup happen.
B) Have someone powerful enough to destroy the clan, while keeping its honor intact, and save even more lives.
Which would you do?
Plus, having Konoha as the dominant power would keep peace. Also, I think he was truly, deep down, a good guy.
My believing this may be in part of me despising absolutely everything Sasuke is and stands for for numerous reasons, including him "killing" Danzo. But still, please give me actual reasons on why you would agree or disagree with this, and not "**** that old man im glad hes dead!"

he could have sent itachi to take over then clan he was obviously stronger then fugaku and any other uchiha one on one so if he told itachi to go challenge his father for right to lead the clan then itachi coulda jus been like sit the f still and shut the f up until we figure this out then after doing a favour for danzo and the leaf he could have used that as leverage to get back o good terms therefor stoping the coup all together

Also, when did he pee himself over anything, besides the idea of DEATH. And even then he actually had a good reason to not die. He needed to protect Konoha, he was thinking more for that, not himself dying.

Maybe. But Fugaku obviously had many Uchiha backing him, otherwise it wouldnt have been a threat. So Itachi would have to kill or arrest the other conspiring Uchiha. Plus it would make all of Konoha despise and suspect ALL the Uchiha even more. Danzo could've demonized all the Uchiha or just Itachi.

As much as i hate to say this but he was definetly right in his decision because this is how the real world run's not on the childish dream of a kid who think's that he could bring peace in the world just by talking the bad guys out of it. to run a country, to be a leader u have to make hard choice's and if u lack that u can not protect your country or it's people.
so maybe i hate him for what he did but if i look in to big picture i know that he was right.

Danzo is a ninja that belonged to the old generation that never adapted. You could actually say that he was a true ninja, he protected the village and did everything for it from the shadows, he was taking care of the dirty work so that there can be peace and the village could prosper.
Yea i don't agree with his methods, but that is no reason to think of him as evil, and a person not caring for his village. He always tried to do what was best for the village in his opinion.
And about the Uchiha massacre, i doubt the whole truth is revealed. In my opinion everything will be clear if Itachi actually manages to talk to Sasuke and explain everything.

They were way beyond "talking". The 3rd already tried diplomacy and failed. Danzo knew exactly what to do and did it.
