Was Danzo a hokage

i see people adding danzo on the list for hokages
when he was never given the title of hokage just a fill in
just likee kakashi wasnt the hokage but to me more closer to it than danzo. how come they didnt carve danzo face? hmm

Danzo never got the final vote (the jonin's vote) to officially become Hokage

He never took office but he was Hokage candidate twice and very close to becoming it both times so most people consider him one. I consider him a Hokage up to a certain point as he made official decisions and attended the 5 Kages meeting as Hokage even though he never formally took office.

Unlike Kakashi, Danzo actually was acting Hokage for a short while.

He didn't get his face carved into the mountain for obvious reasons.

They got half way through the process, but he did act as the political head so technically he did have office, title, and authority even without the Jonin vote. He got the vote of the electoral college but not the popular vote in a sense and the electoral vote is the one that actually counts...I count it as being Hokage kinda like when a dictator takes over. No one likes it but that doesn't mean that they have any less power or office.

For all intensive purposes Danzo was not Hokage just the representative of the Leaf at the 5 Kage Summit. Danzo never became Hokage though.

so his face wasnt carved another reason is that he died too early for them to get around to carving his extremely hideous face

Danzo was declared hokage, but since he never officially took the office, you could consider him an interim hokage.
