Was anyone else hoping that Naruto and Sasuke's families...

Would be like Goku and Vegeta's? I just always liked how during the Buu Saga and afterwards, the two families hung out so much they were basically like one big family (and you could add Krillin's family and Piccolo here too). Me, I was hoping Naruto and Sasuke's families would've been like that. It had all the right elements, Naruto and Sasuke had become friendly rivals (Goku and Vegeta at the end of Buu Saga), Naruto was the best friend of Sasuke's wife (like Goku and Bulma), and Sakura and Hinata knew each other well enough (Chi-chi and Bulma), and their kids knew each other. Why'd Kishi gotta go and make Sasuke all aloof and put in this bizarre Sasuke baby-mama subplot (it's like Naruto meets Maury)? Coulda gone the route of DBZ with Battle of the Gods and Ressirection F. Anyone else wish he went that route?

How does wishing that Naruto and Sasuke displayed any kind of friendship or care for each other make me a die-hard fanboy? So, wanting to see maybe just a normal family dynamic instead of all this bizarre baby mama crap is strange? I don't even like Sakura and view it as pointless.

And they have jobs (well Naruto and Sasuke do) , unlike Dragonball Z where everyone just mooched off Bulma.

Once the world is completely safe i'm sure Sasuke will head back to Konoha, and stay there, then we'll see that.

Gaiden is connecting Sasuke's family, and strengthening their bond, the Boruto movie will futher that with their families. Boruto, and Sarada will become closer, Boruto meets Sasuke, ask to become his apprentice, Sasuke becomes his Master, Sasuke trains Boruto, and tells him about Naruto, Boruto begins to respect Naruto alot more, etc.
