Was anybody else frustrated by Kishimoto's inconsistency with Kakashi?

kakashi reminds me of one of those kids in elementary school who is far ahead of everyone else so everyone thinks they're a genius, but by the time high school rolls around, and everyone else has had time to bloom you realize he was nothing too special, above average yes but nothing phenomenal he just had a fast start instead of a late bloomer he was an early bloomer.

What I'm trying to say is Kakashi started out strong but in the end his max potential/ceiling was never that high people only thought it was because he had a strong start.

Take Naruto for example, his ceiling is way higher than Kakashi's even without Kurama, but he didn't truly become strong until he was 16 he was a late bloomer. Talent and potential are tricky things
This answer got to me.

I would argue that he would have killed Tendō and Gakidō if Chōji and Chōza hadn't shown up at such an inoportune time.
This is something I've argued I don't know how many times on this forum.

Kakashi had a raikiri ready when Chouza and his crew arrived. That raikiri would have taken out Deva Path who was on his cooldown(he had no idea where Kakashi was), and Asura was stunned from the raiton clone. After he takes out Deva, it's a 1v1 vs Asura which he would have no problem handling.

Chouza's team arriving ended up getting pretty much everyone in the village killed, looking back on it. Of course Naraka could have potentially ended up reviving Deva/Asura, but regardless, without the intervention, Kakashi would have defeated both, not really much to argue against that with.
