Gaia’s precious land painted in blood.
Tormented for years her tears rain as a flood.
Time can’t heal her wounds that men cause,
Nor fix their many flaws.
Because of man’s desires, peace shall never exist.
Thus, death and violence will always persist.
In a world lost to anger, greed, and strife,
Man’s word is weaker than the knife.
The battlefields rain soot and blood from the skies,
As death swims in the air carrying echoed cries.
Many innocents are taken and lost in a flash.
Their bodies adding to the scattered piles of ash.
Mothers grieve for the ones they’ve lost,
As the devil entices happiness for a varnished cost.
As the world falls apart and the skies turn black,
Death checks his list watching the bodies stack.
The Land, Sky, and Sea,
Lay tainted in red without a sound, nor a plea.
With a laugh the devil makes his grin,
Gathering the foils of war; the souls lost to sin.
Tormented for years her tears rain as a flood.
Time can’t heal her wounds that men cause,
Nor fix their many flaws.
