So i sit here and sometimes think why do people need to go to war to settle something?!

They kill 1000's of people in war and the soldiers who go to war are even more stupid , because why would you go put your only life in danger for something that isn't going to end.

I find people that go to war stupid (sopose fighting for their country).
They fight over stupid things i don't understand why everyone can't just share their shit and help each other out.
They want to kill , argue the whole day and when a kid kills somebody they want to blame video-games , it isn't video-games it's them killing each and everyday.

It should be that simple, but it just never will be due to the extreme variation of human thought-patterns. I can totally agree on the matter that fighting for nationality seems quite awkward, but I´ve got no nationalistic spirit in even the tiniest form inside of me.

Besides, I´m not naive enough to say that violence doesn´t solve anything. But solving an issue without resorting to violence leads to a path of greater prosperity. It´s just human nature, and nature is a mix of order and chaos found in every single acting organism.
I wouldn´t die for my nation, it´s too small in my perspective.

Because humans are selfish. We always need something in return. But, ironically, having us pay money for stuff is good in a way. Let's take oil for example, if it was just handed out cuz places need it, people would take too much. There's no money costs to limit them and it would run out in the blink of an eye. But of course, we fudged it up and war broke out.

I too find the concept of war stupid. We should just have one United government where the world leaders cooperate and take the best aspects of each government and combine them, but we're a million years before this can happen successfully.

It's in human nature to mindlessly fight for their selfish goals and desire for power and preeminence towards the "weaker", and not thinking about how many lives will there be lost to get to their foolish realization of the world that they see. Most of the leaders and armies have been fighting with an idea "The end justifies the means." and with taking a famous philosopher's thinking as their excuse for deleting thousands of human lives off this world. It has always been like that, it is like that, it will always be like that. Luckily, times change and people have gotten a bit less idiotic and do much to stop the local wars and actually know that 3rd World War will completely erase humanity because of all the modern techology. But sadly, there will always be war but situation is much more under control than it used to be.

Now, about people who fight for their country. People used to have much greater morality and their fatherland meant everything to them. In most wars during history, people have been also forced to go in wars by kings/queens and monarchs. But the problem is that people also believed that they're attacking other countries for right goals and that they're actually helping their land to be greater. They were blinded because they were like sheeps becase there was no education and all that people had was that animal instinct for survival. But when people go defending their country, that's completely different. It's not because they have to, it's simply because they want to defend their precious country, country that they loved and counrty that raised them. That's what I admire, and it's hard for newer generazions to understand it because they haven't tasted war. But believe me, when someone is attacking your country, it's like they're stomping on your heart. Much respect towards defenders of their country.

I was sitting their thinking too what if they found a cure for AIDS and they just don't want to release it because then the people who make condoms wouldn't make money anymore.

i'm sorry but that is ignorant of you. it's the most far away from the simple way you describe it. the only way there will be world peace as you want is if every person on the planet will give up on fighting, but if at least one person will not give up then you will be forced to kill him before he kills you or your loved ones.

think about it this way, even if the entire world was in peace in 1939 there would still be hitler who would invade and kill, were the americans and british and soviets supposed to sit idle and let him kill their people? even if the entire world but nazi germany would do as you said there would still be germany, so the other nations in the world would have to wage war to survive and protect.

as long as one person want's war, other people will participate. thinking that everyone in the world would just willingly give up on the concept is ignorant.

If there weren't wars, the world would be overpopulated and the quality of life would drop globally, along with less distribution of vital resources such as food and water, it'd be harder to come across jobs and etc. It sounds cold hearted but it's the truth, the human race needs wars if we want to "evolve", or even survive.

It's tough to just say "we would've have this 1000 years ago" because you don't know what would've happened if we didn't have a dark age, but I understand where you're coming from. We definitely would have been far more advanced than we are now, I'm just not sure technology would have excelled as rapidly back than as it did recently is all. Of course this doesn't mean we wouldn't need vital resources to survive, resources would still grow scare as time went on, and there's no definite way to say "we could find it else where" because it's just not 100% true.

you are absolutly right, i can't say we will be 100% better if the dark ages didn't happen. but i can say we would have a better chance then what we have today.

anyway, back to the original topic, war is inevitable. you can either run away or participate. don't expect war to just disappear.
