The reason they dance and fuse is because in the show they match their POWER LEVEL to each otherand I guess the dance was just how they needed to channel their ki, in the show they elaborated on it being difficult which is why Trunks and Gotens spent an episode or so to get it odne

Agreed.the buu arc was the best imo.the fights were excellent,buu was terrifying and the series couldn't have ended better

Well, actually you just overstimated buu arc, it wasn't consistent through whole arc, it has flaws as well. However The battles in buu arc, especially against last boss Kid buu were enjoyable, great to watch. Kid buu and not just him lived up to his hype, was threatening and bring the world into chaos while pushing and beatling beadly both Goku and Vegeta.
