War Filler Roundup! GOOD or BAD?

So the War filler is finally over! For those of you who actually have followed the anime through this filler (which actually wouldn't be half bad if we hadn't been waiting for Madara the entire time) with an open mind, which of the filler episodes did you actually enjoy? Because I think we can all agree some of the episodes did a great job of expanding the war where Kishimoto didn't or couldn't but some were just plain unnecessary.

If you had control over the anime and could keep in any of the filler episodes into the actual war which ones would you pick and why?

I personally LOVED the recent Chiyo episode, the Deidara Escapes!, The Fallen Castle, The Sound 4 episodes and Shino VS Torune. They were all great additions to the war. Some of the others just....less so. (Looking at you Yota)


P.S: Also don't bother saying none of it, just don't post- some of it was undeniably good quality and was more interesting than actual events in the war. ​

Personally, fillers are good, but only when they don't divert attention from the main story and even then, only if the filler has a good story.

Chikara was alright, it added depth to certain characters, even if it kind of broke the story, and was enjoyable.

The War Arc fillers, to me, are just unnecessary... We want the story to continue, because Madara and reasons.

I'm glad they're over.

The ones you said, Prologue of Road to Ninja, and the fillers regarding the Seven Swordsman of the Mist.

They were okay... okayish, better than some other arcs, but mostly quite pointless, with inconsistencies, plot holes, derailed characters (seriously, Yugao?) etc. The action was mostly enjoyable though.

I personally liked the one with Hayate Gekko I found interesting and that we could finally see some of his skills

Everything except Allied Mom Forces, One Worth Betting On, Dragon Eye and the first two episodes of Yota. Seriously that shit was terrible.
All the other ones range from average to amazing and they actually benefit the war.

OT: I particularly enjoyed White Zetsu’s Trap; The Artist’s Aesthetics; Scorch Style User! Pakura of the Hidden Sand; The Heart’s Eye; The Soul That Dwells Within a Puppet; The Seven Swordsmen Arc; The Reanimated Allied Forces; Shino vs. Torune!!; A Hole in the Heart - The Other Jinchuriki; Hayate & Yugao Arc; Tatewaki Arc; Run, Omoi!; Chikara Power Arc; Sound Four Arc; and the Yota Arc (believe it or not)

Out of all of them I'd say the best were the Pakura one, Chiyo, the sound 4, and Shino vs Torune.

I hated the 7 swordsmen ones, it made every character involved look like fodder. Like when guy was tangled in the needle guys strings. They should have just made 1 episode with good animation of Kakashi, Guy, Lee, Omoi, and Sai vs the 7 swordsmen.

The first Sound 4 episode was the most action packed anime episode since Pain Invasion or Danzo VS Sasuke

These 'fillers' weren't bad at all in my opinion. The ones I liked less i'll just ignore and pretend they never happened. Those I liked I'll view as canon. I don't really view them as filler, but more as an extension of the canon war.

For example the episodes with the swordsmen were good, the sound 4 eps, the ones about Hayate and all the ones after the Yota fillers (which weren't that bad imo, except the first one with all the crying). These were all well done in my opinion.

Yeah it's a great list. I enjoyed all of the fillers you have mentioned and I consider these episodes canon as well. Which one is your favourite? Personally the Pakura filler is my favourite - two epic fighting scenes as well as a flashback of the horrible past.

Pakura is one of the best filler bar none. I can't think which filler is my favorite because all my list are simpliy awesome, and I'm enjoying it, but if I had to choose, its either gonna be the the Heart eye ( I'm a neji fanboy) or Sound 4 =D
