Edos were never the main thing. There was no point in Kishimoto treating them that way... And not to forget the only people who survived are the top tier people. 40k shinobi died before the Juubi came into play.....
No seriously if All the Edo's were here and everone one is either dead sobbing in horror or horribly mamned and Naruto had no chakra left and he won (without ass pulls), that would the shit. I really wanted this to be some epic tramatic sh*t that would take more than a slap for naruto to stay on his path. I wanted him to be in all the people shoes that he fought Nagato, Oro, Itachi or anyone who knew how f*cked up a war can be. I wanted him to question everything at the end of the war, and leave us guessing if he wavered from his resolve

Do you people realize how bad wwi was. No matter how skilled you were, or strong or fast or smart, every time you peeked you blood covered head, (not you blood you weren't sure whose blood it was at this point there were to many bodies at that point), you risked the chance of being killed by a stray bullet in a second. No matter how hard you trained for this you were praying that the guy firing his machine gun into wave after wave of people was pointing in your direction the minute you stand up straight. Not aiming, pointing cause thats all you had to do to slauter hundreds of faceless men was point your machine gun.
