as we all know, the War Arc, Naruto's final Arc, can be considered by the great majority as the Naruto's worst Arc. But still, is also the longest arc of the series by far, so beside having some of its worst moments, it also had some good things hidden inside.
So... What was in your opinion the worst and the best of this Arc?
To me personally the best in general was the Uchiha Bros vs Kabuto fight. I know its an unpopular opinion (cries of "boring!" and "too much flashbacks!" can be heard right now), but it encompensated two of my favorite moments of this series to me:
1. Itachi's final goodbyes to his little brother
2. Kabuto's story.
Let me break it down:
On behalf of Itachi's farewell... Do I really need to say anything? The raw emotions of the moment, the words said, the true umbreakable love of an older brother to his ototou...
It was on of the last moments that I truly felt Kishi's genius (another one being chapter 698)
And the other was Kabuto's backstory.
Kabuto before that always felt a little iffy to me. What does he want? Why he is with someone like Oro? Why he is such a jerk all the time? But when I truly understood what he bem trought, what drive him to become that..abomination in the end...
It struck me really hard. Here was someone who didn't even knew his own name. Who did not have a família, who did not have friends, a purpose or an identity. Someone who just wanted to to figure out who he really was in an unforgiving world that rewarded the ones from especial bloodlines and gifted since birth with genius and uniqueness and shunned nobodies like him. And that was what made him my third favorite character of all times...
And the worst? Obito Kamuin'g from the afterlife to give Kakashi a plotdevised DMS. It was the only moment in this series that I honestly tought about quitting it.
But I did not hated because of the obvious. It wasn't because of the stupid way that it was created; it wasn't how completely illogical it was or how much of a obvious plothole it felt. It was because the last chapter was just sorte of perfect. How they made Obito's farewell. It made someone like me (who pretty much hated Obito after his identity was revealed) to get a little tear eyed. But the next episode was like: "remember how you tought Obitp is finnaly dead? Just kidding! We'll overpower Kamui even more so he can litterally jump trought the outherworld!"
It truly felt like a spat on the face of everyone who felt something genuine on the last chapter.
So... How about you?
